I highly doubt that we will be playing tauti on the wing.
08/09 last time he played there, 5 years ago.
Ive seen interviews with him talking about how he left Parra the first time around because he wasn`t a winger he saw himself as a prop.
Just because he`s played there in the past (5 years ago) i dont think we should be condsidering it at all. |

Think the 'Very Tall' bit may just be a curve ball but who knows!!
If we have made an offer for a Eels player it could be Ben Roberts (halfback), he is out of contract. He played for Samoa in the RLWC; Agar would have been able to get a good look at him I suppose...
Could be anyone just thought I'd through my two pennies in!!

Im hoping we sign a half back soon or we can kiss goodbye to signing anyone half decent before the season starts. However, I think it will be ryan from parra.

I've not seen much of Roberts apart from World Cup and he wasn't great in that.
Looking at forums in NRL he doesn't have many admirers these quotes sum up politely what Eels fans think of him...

You could argue Tim Smith got a similar harsh assessment but was great for us especially in the first season. But some truth in the assessment of a tackling weakness in his game....

I think he is the dumbest player I have ever seen.
He reminds me of an under 7's player , runs around in circles then decides at the last minute to pass the ball at anybody that's nearby - whether they're expecting it or not .....
He is an extremely stupid player, and his technical ability varies wildly in quality.
Very similar to smith in that his consistency is not to the standardrequired for regular first grade nrl... Very different player though, he is strong and tough with the odd flash of genius... Smith or Roberts... I would choose Roberts every day of the week... If we pull in Ryan and Roberts... That's good work.
