That's the point, it didn't matter what he coached American Football, he could have coached anything. His success in the NFL is but a side issue, what matters is he invented or refined nearly every aspect of modern coaching in team sports. Stats, individual training, nutrition and diet, video analysis and so on - all Lombardi.
Like all coaches of that era he could shout a bit, but he was one of the first to think about it before he did - and that was the revolutionary bit. He also did it with the Green Bay Packers which is similar to winning SL with Batley (no offence to Batley).
Truly great man in the history of all sport. |

Had a text this morning from a player at another club who said after speaking to his agent and reading in between the lines he thinks it will be agar with chester as assistant. Hope to god he's added two and two together and got five! Justin morgan believes cummins will get the job. I haven't got a clue who it is but there's more and mote rumours coming out each day.

That would be about as bad as it could get. Not particularly impressed by Cummins as head coach either. The club need to set on a coach that is going to inspire the fans, not one that looks like the cheap option or one of Jimmys mates. |
