Now over Xmas months with frozen prices and shirts for 2012 been released it could make for a healthy off season for the club.

Its getting pretty close and despite some of the negative stuff on here, this is a damn good effort all round and regardless of whether we reach the target, this is a massive increase in S/T sales on previous years.
If there are any maybe's still out there, its time to put your hands in your collective pockets.
Buy one for your kids, relatives or anyone else you know for Christmas !!!

Got told by one of the staff in the shop that the price goes up to £175 on Saturday night even if the target has been hit. I hope the club choose to freeze the price as I reckon they could add another 1000 between now and Christmas.

Also, we've all see what Bradford do with attendance figures, so we will count the season ticket holders on every attendance and just add pay on the day fans to the total?

I hope it is kept at the same price if it's met. I am sure that there will be plenty more if there is a little marketing drive 2 weeks before Xmas.

The BIG mistake the club have made re this is not getting a BIG signing made in advance of the deadline as to get fans excited and to hopefully gain increased season ticket sales from it.

IMHO to increase/improve season ticket sales the club should have drip fed a new signing each day as to build interest, sales and momentum as the deadline approaches. Opportunity missed IMHO.

Instead of Collis been Agars/the clubs first major signing this should have been someone of a far higher calibre (sorry Collis) as to really get the tight folk of Wakefield excited and behind the season ticket push.

IMHO big marketing opportunities missed. Never mind staff buggering off on hols, this really is a major and quite important part of our plans for next season. The right signals and intentions need to be made. If signings are delayed then push back the season ticket deadline?

I agree with most of that. I know people are saying offer signed shirts or hospitality, but nothing will get the fans more interested at this time of year than new signings. I don't know why the club couldn't announce the 5 new signings, and I'm sure they would if possible, but imagine what the impact of a signing each day from Monday would do to the sales.

I'm sorry why should they, if they can't be bothered to help the club in the earlier months why should they be bothered to after them

there has been plenty of time and in fact the club has helped them out in the split payment

I thought that the season ticket prices were frozen if we hit 2500 it should be and im sure its been advertised as so.

where would be the incentive to buy earlier in the closed season ?

To ensure you would pay £100..... if the 2500 wasn't met you'd be paying £175 so the incentive is to contribute to the 2500.. Those who could not afford not able / waiting to buy them as Christmas Presents etc etc.. have imo been anxiously waiting to see if the club met this target, and now we have they will buy more season tickets when they can afford to do so over the coming months.

I'm confused.

I'm being childish mate, when i questioned the ticket deal and the wording the other day i got labled stupid for not understanding it, now it seems a few don't understand the plan if we go over 2500 and the wording of the deal.

Apparently the decision on what the cost for an adult season ticket after the 1st of October will be hasn't been made yet.

I can see a problem at the end of next season if they don't increase the prices after the early bird offer. Next season what is the incentive to get it early if the price doesn't increase, this will leave the club with a cash shortfall when there are no other monies coming in.

The price will only increase if the 2500 isnt matched. So the incentive to get it early like I have said is to keep it at a £100.. if were easily getting 6000 season tickets next year (highly unlikely) then the desire to get it would decrease as we people would think I don't need to get it yet as I know we'll easily make the target and therefore my contribution won't effect it much.

Why? Are season ticket sales being monitored by the UN, or something? I'm sure we can manipulate to accommodate, if we're only talking a shortfall of a couple of dozen or so, especially if it encourages a lot more people buy in at 100 quid nearer Christmas.

Looking at Twitter, Andrew Glover seems to suggest that the price of an adult ticket after the 1st hasn't been decided yet, even if the target is met, so to guarantee the £100 ticket its probably wise to get one before the deadline.

That deffo suggets the price will be £100 IF 2500 season tickets are sold before sept 30th, they can't change that?
