Big relief and hope we can turn the corner. I thought Parkin may look for a SL franchise assurance, with Glover I am less optimistic that we have it.

If as rumoured the accounts of the company were a shambles and this led to Parkin pulling out --- then how come a deal has been tied up so quickly with Mr Glover??

Me thinks Parkin either had no intention of buying or he has just tried playing a dangerous game and hes lost!!

Was told the other day that he was approached by Cas but this was before he pulled out of the Wakey deal and he had told them to go away in a polite term although maybe he has changed his tune now?

Heard that it was Cas who approached Parkin whilst he was having talks with Wakefield. Now that's fallen through then maybe he is talking with you and from what I heard this weekend it will be the most probable way you could fund the new ground.

Could Parkin still invest in Wakefield? Both in the club and Newmarket? When spirit of 1873 announced their intention to purchase Trinity that did say they wanted a football club so Newmarket could be used all year round. You would have though the warehousing would be of interest to him also. I would hope Andrew Glover would be looking to attract and work with investors that would benefit Wakefield and Newmarket.

If Parkin is talking to Cas them i am glad he did not get our club because that just shows that he has no feelings towards us.

Unless he is just talking to Cas to find out the position re the ground so he can evaluate our chances of getting a licence and then maybe come in at Wakey !

Perhaps it was all about the ground all along and maybe he felt that Newmarket was not going to happen so pulled out. And now he sees cas as the next best way to get a new ground for his New football team.

Iv heard he is talking to Cas also, this one is doing the rumour rounds as i heard it here in australia from a guy at work...

makes sense if he's looking for a new stadium for a football club. Maybe he's decided that Cas will get one first and he could get the use for minimal investment so that it gets built asap.

possibly.. or it could be a rumor dreamt up by a cas fan....

My comment was "tongue in cheek". TBH if Parkin is not interested in investing in us then I don't care what he does going forward.

Would be interesting in Honduran Tiger's thoughts if Parkin ended up investing in Cas though.

If he's investing in Cas it might be time to get the letraset stickers out again - further corrections to the jersey may be required.

The Cas scheme has been about (ha ha) to be built for the last 6 years, has Parkin only just noticed it - come on even in you're world that a touch hard to believe. Still if you want him you have him, he clearly don't want us.
