It depends on the tear, but if not healed properly and ripped again can cause serious damage.

No medical expert...but sometimes a break is better than ligament damage..as peverse as it sounds...just hope its bruising

Done both,nice clean break and ligaments.

Ligaments took around 14 weeks,break around 10.

Suppose it depends on how bad the ligament tear is,but the specialists opinion was that he preffered a nice clean break to ligament damage.

A ligament tear would be a disaster 12 days off the new season. Think at this stage a 3/4 week absence would be welcomed by many.

Although in relation to the Mathers thread, maybe it can be seen as an opportunity to try Mathers at 7??? May just work

If we are mixing up ligament or break I'm assuming it is not knee but ankle. Easier to stabilise at ankle than knee but still bad.

think web site said lower leg (tibia) initially so not knee area lets hope its not a ligament as would be a long term injury not a few weeks

They can't always tell until the swelling has gone down. No point in making quick decisions and then having to take it back.

It says on Sky sports news it's not a break, it doesn't actually say what the injury is.

As Theboyem posted both AR and TS are likely to be out against Braford, time to give Isaac John another chance aswell as Bobbie Goulding (bench). We need to put our strongest available squad for this game as it is winnable.

Indeed. No offense to Goulding but he isn't yet part of our "strongest available squad". I'm sure he will be one day.

I'd have Aiton playing long stretches if not the whole game if he can, and use Wildie as the scrum half. John can be on the bench to cover both hooker and halves.
It could work the other way round but I like Wildie at scrum half.

Think young Goulding might be carrying the weight of the surname with some fans. RL royalty. I remember this when Cas signed Gary Schofield's lad as a 16 year old and where is he now ? Good luck to the lad anyway.
