| i have read all views on this and had a 15 minute phone call with davide longo, there are deffo 2 camps of views to this, i can understand davide longos point of view re trouble and fine looming if any more, but carnt help feeling the club has contributed to this with the push of more beer vans mainly down western side too, this to a minority is red rag to a bull and loutish behavour ensues, the problem here is belle vue is old and not right for segregation as the new grounds are, the western terrace has always been where alot of fans have stood, i for one, i understand you enjoy north stand now and you now create atmosphere in there but so do we in little cow shed, i sure players appreciate vocal support down there when they on attack or when coming back from a try other end,i was at huddersfield game down there and heard no racist chants or violence in fact i was stood side by side with a giants fan shook his hand at end and wished him all the best for season, the trouble is this seems to be a dying art in our game now and minority are spoiling it for majority, my beef with this is the minority arent getting punished good law abiding fans are!! this shoudnt be tough tit it should be weed the trouble causers out and ban them leave decent fans be, the communication on this was at best poor and handling by security was dam right awful making people feel like leppers and told tough tit u stand north stand or nowt, the east is no where near as good as west it is too much of a dip for mine didnt enjoy in there tbh, just feel let down with whole thing and to be told don't see why u creating a fuss come north, well i was told stay where you are n leave north for young uns, thats fine no probs with that but i don't want to be manovered in there i dont like it in there sorry but just my personal preference, i realise this post aint gunna do a scrap of difference and when new stadium comes hopefully this will be a thing of past as away will have one end like all new grounds do, but for now feel very let down and left to dry for the minority idiots that unfortunatly we and others teams have

| Segregation seems excessive!
I'm a rugby league supporter not a football hooligan.
And don't expect to be treated like one in my home ground.

| The management at BV need to get it in their heads that they have made a mistake by introducing segrigation. We are Rugby Legue fans not football fans. The segrigation makes it worse, it divides the supporters leading to an us and them situation and that is not good. They blame health & safety, as usual, but we are playing the same teams as we allways have and there has never been any major incidents. The crowd down in chavs corner were great fun but now we have lost that and I think that if WTW don't make a u-turn they will loose supporters. We are not cattle to be kept in pens.

I think the custom and practice of standing there for 30 years overrides any pedantry that anyone can possibly seek to find in those words.

| I think there are clearly some posters who won't like whatever the club do no matter what.
If you wish to hand your STs in, feel free; perhaps even get a Cas one - although come to think of it even they have segregation now!!
The club cannot control mindless fools who are intent on causing trouble but they are responsible for everyone's safety in and around the ground.
If they have to make tough decisions then make them - just give everyone some notice.
Everybody has had a good go at it now, any ongoing problems the club has given supporters the chance to continue dialogue directly with them.
Can that now be an end to it?

| Quote ="Slugger McBatt"The issues are these, in my view:
1. Prior to this year, everyone could stand where they wanted. Those who chose to stand on the Western Terrace did so out of choice and preference, and so any forcing into the Northern Terrace is making people pay £20 for something that is less enjoyable than before. The club can dress it up how they like, but that is the reality. Whether it significantly lessens one's enjoyment is a matter for each paying customer. For me, it lessens it, but not so much that I wouldn't go. I have in the past watched from the North Stand when the team has been attacking it.
2. Were there an increasing number of incidents prior to the Go North campaign? If so, then it would seem that the Go North campaign was as much about creating informal segregation as it was about anything else, and when it didn't stop the incidents (or made it worse, ironically), enforced segregation was the obvious next step. A shame, but there you go. If there was no increasing number of incidents prior to last year's Cas game, then it seems that the Go North campaign has been the cause, not the cure, however well-intentioned it might have been. The timing of the North Stand opening and the response of Richard Wright made it worse.
3. Any suggestion that there was to be an announcement prior to the Leeds game seems nonsense, as the game was called off hours before, not weeks before, with no announcement.
4. Any whinging about "I wouldn't have bought a season ticket" seems excessive, as they were half-price anyway. "I resent the fact that I paid half-price for a 20% reduction in my enjoyment".
5. In two years time, none of this should matter and we can all complain that the paint used on the Newmarket car park is too close to "amber".'"
I'd agree with all of that, I won't walk away, but I may just not wear club colours and stand where I always have because it's the best view in the ground and nobody who hasn't taken the logical steps to prevent trouble that have been mentioned throughout this thread has reasonable justification for preventing me from doing so.

Wow you really take being persistently boring to a new high.
The club have given you (and your legal team) the opportunity to speak to them about your problems with the terminology.
Can I suggest that this is the best cause of action, because I'm losing the will to live?

| This thread is
Time for a few posters to grow up and move with the times me thinks.
The home fans will force the clubs hand and bring in total segregation permanently for me the sooner the better. I couldn't give a flying fig where I stand has long as I can watch Wakey play rugby.
I can't believe all the stuff whats been put on here by fans just because you have to move and watch a game of rugby from another part of the ground. It's only for 80 minutes for god sake.
Dewsbury or Castleford would welcome new fans in the lower league so it may be an idea to go and support them instead

| Myself and the group I stand with have left our home beneath the tea-bar and relocated to the terrace in front of the North Stand. We didn't choose it, but have not suffered from it either. There was a slight problem on Monday with the ladies not being able to access the loos, but if that can be resolved then we are no worse off at all.
It's a shame and I lament the fact that the club neither informed the spectators nor the Supporters Trust - who could have assisted in trying to get the message out and perhaps take some of the sting out of the matter. We will discuss this further with the club, but I fear that the issue has now moved on and will be difficult to reverse.
Ho hum!

They HAVE to get back to communicating with the fans correctly and there needs to be a point of contact at the club. The trust could well play that role but, when you think of this, the ccj's and one or two other issues as well they seem to be slipping into complacency. Give 'em a shake as the goodwill has taken a knock, it can't be allowed to fall further.

Remember your a wildcat fan and not allowed to have friendly banter with opposition fans!
U must be segregated and caged in for your own safety and that of others!
Stand in the cow shed or pig pen!
Or pay the penalty!

Enjoy the game!

You are right, but some seem hell bent on being negative and cannot be persuaded that there is any view other than their own. The twas tag line works both ways and requires us, sometimes, to accept that other people have made judgement calls based on the information they have (which they cannot always divulge) and they will have made it with the best intentions for all - even if they don't always get it right! I can live with that, can you?

| There is no positive in giving up the best part of the ground to see because the club cannot be bothered to deal with the handful of idiots that they cite as trouble makers.
I have no choice but to live with it, but I will be on the west terrace as I ha e been for decades, I'll just be leaving my scarf and pin badge at home.

| I still think "Together We Are Stronger" is a rubbish strapline and always will.
Are the club scared of communicating bad news? It seems, at times, they're happy to shout about the most minor good things but run scared when tough decisions have to be communicated and have really cocked up on this one by leaving it to the stewards, who also didn't seem to know.
We were told when our "long time fan" took over than he was a details man, shame some of those details keep being over looked.

| Segregation is part if modern sport these days sadly, it's sad but that's how it is. The club could have handled it better, but just accept the decision which was based on consultation with police, security etc and move on. There's no need to keep banging on about it. It's happening, so deal with it and carry on supporting the lads.
