Kear proved what he could do by getting us into playoffs finishing 6th. We got some decent players in tronc, newton and had brough and started the season like a top 4 finish was in order. Instead due to the imcompetent little turd of a chairman we had to sell brough, atkins, werent able to keep tronc, and sadly newton made a mistake. Kear then didn't do a good enough job with the players available but with BJ directing the team id worry for any club with him in.

Having read all of these pages i think everyone has done a pretty good job at deciphering where the ground went and why etc.

however in my opinion a couple of things have still not been fully investigated......

1) seen as though wakefield never got the money, what actually happenend to the £2million that the bank of ireland lent Tillion?
(my guess is flats in cyprus, or m&s suits..)

2) the op (original poster) has 1 post to his name, appears to support cas, and yet revealed this "bombshell" to the wakey fans. although i am thankful for him doing it, who is he and why?

3) what the chance of sir rodney walker giving ted a good reference, now it appears that he has lost his money to the tax man..??

jesus, at least mopseys view isnt clouded,he says it how it is.So many people on here not willing to realise the clubs been screwed over .
"Maybe ted just made a mistake " .........its laughable,yes he did, he used a club he reportedly loves for self gain and got found out.

Believe me Mopsey is just as clouded, just in the other direction,
I dont think anyone is under any doubt now as to where the "issues" lie within OUR club, for some it has come as a bit of a shock, but the past is the past, we need to concentrate on the here and the now, in order to have a brighter future.

Mopseys problem is that he knows too much of the goings on down at BV, his views are anything but clouded in any direction, his problem is that by saying too much he betrays the confidence shared with him by those people that are actually in the know and would almost certainly lead to further repercussions for those said people, and what he says is his way of trying to explain things in his roundabout way hth.

Having just read the article in League Express it seems worth clarifying that the party that "is likely to demand a significant rent from the club" is NOT Tillion, but the LPA Receiver appointed by Bank of Ireland after Tillion were "unable to meet it's interest payments".

IMO there's still plenty of question about the sale of the ground that need answering, but the accusation that Ted is trying to screw the club for rent now seems unfounded.

That's ok then - poor old hapless Ted, he's just a victim in all of this.

but that is because Ted defaulted on his repayments to the BoI, so we are getting screwed because he took out a loan that he could not afford, but the club is having to pick up HIS bill.
so while i agree he wasnt trying to pocket additional monies via rent, the fact that he was lining his own pockets has led to us being worse off.
