Hopefully so, or at least more clear lines of communication between Board and Supporters as mentioned at the meeting last week.
The incumbents made many mistakes in getting their message across.
Posting on a supporters message board was foolish, fine when times are good, but the posts are few and far between when the heat is on.
While it may be 'fun' it looks utterly stupid for the Board to be in fancy dress for an away match. Again, that ended when the going got tough and doesn't come across as professional.
Players, coaches, management should be available and approachable but not too much, not pally pally, at arms length. 'Family sport/club' we may be, but things went too far.
As soon as you let people into the 'inner circle' and feed them scraps, then the divides become wider. You can't employ people because they're supporters of the club, only that they have the skills required.
And you can't rely on a weekly newspaper to get your message out there. So many media people in so little time, wonder why that was.
