Very open game and a couple of length of field efforts (one for each side).
Leeds look to be trying to exploit our right hand side, with some success but, all to play for in the 2nd half.

Young Bowes going well

Good game, if a little scrappy in parts.
We've come second but, only just.

Some decent efforts by some of the youngsters.
Bowes was excellent and Kershaw went well.

Great effort and unfortunate not to get something from the game.

I think big Dave could have gone down in the tackle at the end and we'd have had another two tackles left. Decent game, though.

Good effort. Could and probably should have won but some tired looking players out there.

Good effort should have won, can’t knock the players after 4 games in 10 days.

Thought we were going to nick it at the end, probably should have to be honest. Good effort though and good to see the young lads get game time. Harry Bowes had a pretty decent debut there, he looked very assured.

A valiant effort but appeared to run out of ideas. I think Hampshire deserves the man of steel he just turns up for every game. I don’t know how many games he has missed but he gets hit and just bounces back up.
I think in Walker the lad we signed from Widnes could really be a star based on the few games he has played and I believe BJB deserves another year if he wants it. I still believe we are light in the centres because I know many won’t like this but I have not seen anything from Croft to say he will be the answer. I know I could be wrong but that is my personal view

By the look of bowes he has a bright future in the game ,was all over the place looking for work ,and put a bell ringer of a tackle on I think Donaldson To stop him in his tracks .

Been really impressed with BJB since he came back and think he could be worth another year ??
Thought Croft went okay myself.

BJB turning to catch handley shows he still has the pace to be a force in our team ,and looked to be almost cantering when he bombed the pass to Crofts

You could see from Handley's expression that he wasn't expecting BJB catching him....just a shame he couldn't hold on to him !

When BJB made that break down the touch line in the 2nd half, Croft was struggling to keep up with the old man . Then BJB slowed and drew the defender and Croft over ran him resulting in bombing what would have been an excellent try.

Just goes to show Fil he still has pace to burn ,pity innes and Croft couldn’t have finished him and sutcliffe off ,but to be honest when handley gets clear there is usually only one winner .

He had to slow down to let Croft catch up.
If that was Reece with him that would have been a try.

Thought that Fifita threw out 3 loose passes when he was wrapped up in the last 15 mins.
The first lead to the try by Dwyer and the last stopped our final attack.
For a seasoned pro they were 3 poor efforts. If you can't give a pass don't throw the ball anywhere.
Probably would have sneaked the game 18 to 14 with more composure.
Coach has to point out these errors to him.

Dont think you can blame him when we were chasing the game.
The last play where he had the ball on the last tackle, 10 metres out was a bit disappointing though.

Wonder if that peed him off more than when Croft could have put him away on an overlap late on but kicked the ball into the Leeds fullbacks arms instead?


I know he's young and inexperienced but I though Croft had a very poor game today.

By his own standards yes. He's played better.
I thought both he and Senior were just a bit nieve in defense, in both positioning and decision making.
Both are clearly destined for better things.

I don't think we can put Bill Tupou out to grass just yet.

Lads went well we was more understrength than leeds .couple of try scoring opportunities bombed but hey ho wasnt great conditions either..still not a fan of walker at full back he could of ar least treid ti prevent dwyer winner but chose to stand and watch

Thought you guys were hard done by, the penultimate pass for Leeds' first try being very forward from what I saw of the highlights, how the touchie missed it is anyone's guess.

For the very same reason that touch judges have been missing Leeds' forward passes for the past 20 years !!!!
