Must be true then if it's in the Bradford rag Regarding sackings,if it's an illness to drive pxxxxd up and sue for wrongful dismissal afterwards, then the Countries gone barmy

It is that bad that you all pick Lyne despite the general consensus he is rubbish but this is all we have left. I doubt we have any other players to add so it was probably one of the easiest squads to pick.'"
Your right there a defeat is unacceptable whether honourable or not, you seem a bit unclear with your thoughts after this though, whether the team is the worst ever is open to debate, but you seem to be criticising posters on here for picking Lyne yet in the same sentence admit that there is nobody else to play in his place, I'm sure had there been an alternative most would have taken it, but the reality of it is there is not so they have accepted it, unlike you apparently.
Quote ="Scarlet Ohara"The sad part it is just before our most important game our chairman decides to release probably three players. I think someone should point out to him that players are released after the last game not just before. It looks more like another excuse to save money on their salaries.
I would point out that if he had a sick note then sacking him could turn out to be quite expensive if he sues the club for wrongful dismissal.
Cue Michael Chissit'"
Thanks for the invitation Mr Ohara I don't normally comment on team selections, I usually leave it to the more informed, The sad part is not that he's released three players but the circumstances they have been released, although I know Locke was released early through injury, and you obviously know more than the rest of us regarding the comings and goings of T Smith, perhaps you know more about the third player whose been released and could possibly enlighten us as to who he is.
I would have thought regarding Timmy the chairman would have released him on the advice of the coach, but I'll bow down to your superior insider knowledge on this one.
Your sarcastic comment on saving money by releasing him is just about on a par with your intelligence, and it's noticeable you have now added a degree in law to an already impressive list on your CV, you seriously need to get Mr Carter out of your head, no honestly you really do, why don't you get a hobby you could learn to play golf maybe, got to go now Emmerdales just starting

| Just a few weeks before the most important game for our club and two of our most talented players (locke ,Smith) decide to go on a drunken spree....well thanks a lot for that guys !!!!! Smith in particular has been given chance after chance by our club and late on so has Locke, I can't begin to tell you the bitterness I feel towards those two for doing that. Like some-one said before don't the facts about Lyne so will give him the benefit of the doubt . I just hope and pray the players picked, do the job for us on Saturday and how fitting would it be if Ali had a stormer and led us to victory...Come on Wakey !!!!

On another thread people were talking about the 'unprofessionalism' within the club and how we can change the culture?
What message would do it send out if Smith and Locke were allowed to play after their antics at such a critical time?
The club has made the decision to release/sack them before the biggest game in recent times, so that the rest of the players can get on with the job in hand without the distraction of, 'will they play or won't they?'
This decision could be the first steps to get the right culture within the club!
I'm with you cocker!

| I knew I could rely on Chairman Chissit to come to the defence of the regime. If you were at Waterton I presume you were good at cutting the grass because that was the only Wakefield supporter who admitted to it. I suppose you could have been embarrassed to admit it and keep it a secret from the rest of the members.
With regards sacking it does not take a genius to understand that you have to be very careful or you could face being sued. I hope that our chairman took proper advice before doing so and if he is in charge then I doubt he would ask for the view of the coach regarding an off field matter because he has not listened to anyone else.
I think you should give up with your obsession because you are now getting embarrassing but if it keeps you away from the general public I am at least contributing to the greater good.

| I can't figure out why we're dropping Lee Smith again if he's not injured. Also is Molloy injured? Because that's another strange one, Brian Smith has openly said he rates these two.

They might have fallen out/not agreed.
Lee smith has put himself in the shop window and had a better offer.
Another cloudy mystery

You invite me to comment on your now customary rant against the chairman, to which I have given my opinion fairly and without bias, it's noticeable that with the one exception you have conveniently chosen to ignored the points I raised regarding the rest of your post, and chose only to contest the legality of a sacking which in all honesty neither of us know nothing about the ins and out of the legal process, I suggested that you might take up golf as a hobby to ease your frustration at being shunned by our chairman, and now you have got me down as a grasscutter at a place I've never been to, playing a game I've never had an interest in, did you play rugby as well in a former life because you've got a very good side step at evading the issues, incidentally it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on Saturdays team preferably without a dig at Mr Carter

Irrelevant that he had a sick note, the only thing that matters is if the correct procedure was followed and the reason for dismissal was fair.

| According to Tim Smiths legal representative Richard Cramer, Tim has no comment to make at present time but will be issuing a statement next week. he does not wish to disrupt Wakefield Trinity Wildcats preparations for the Bradford game and hopes Wakefield Trinity can win.

| Squeaky bum time.
Its all down to the pack laying the foundations for your half backs, however, I don't see many tries in the back division without Lee Smith - if not injured seems a strange omission.
Either way, let the best team on the day win . . .no officialdom deciding either clubs fate!

| I am also baffled by the absence of Lee Smith and would like to see him play.
Jowitt is promising and looked good against Halifax. However he is still learning and knocked on at least 4 times against Sheffield. Surely we need an experienced full back for this match?

I think Bradford may have the edge in the backs but, we definitely have a stronger pack so, it's simple.
Our forwards need to batter them which hopefully wont give their backs too many chances.
Jowitt and Johnstone have plenty of pace about them and Miller and Godinet can create something from nothing plus, Ali finishing with a bang, job done !
It really is all about our pack and controlling the ball.

Jowitt
Toupou
Lyne
Arundal
Johnstone
Miller
Godinet
Scruton
Sio
Mullally
Kirmond
Washbrook
Simon
Walker
Yates
Lauitiiti
Annakin
Moore & Tansey to miss out. Washbrook to cover 9 whilst Sio has a breather, Tupou to switch to the position he has played most of his first grade career in and Mullally to start to get us on the front foot from the get go. Gone for a big bench as i think the forwards is where we will win the game.'"
