Thank god you're not a player! Yes it's going to be hard getting into the play offs and their is a low chance - but there is a chance! We just need to win as much as we can from the last five games and hope Hull FC concentrate on the challenge cup!!

That's our plan! Take your hands off it and come up with something else. Lol

Rather than concentrate on what Hull do i would prefer to play our younger players and give them game time.
No one will care about this years top eight when we go into next season and the challenge that brings.

I said hope they concentrate on the CC and its still abit off so games closer to then, I never said that they WILL put everything into CC and not the league.

I'm not sure that game tells us much, other than that Widnes are utterly hopeless; I can't see Betts hanging on to his job beyond this season.

To get into the top 8 brings with it a financial incentive, which given some comments on our financial plight of late, and with CCJ's etc.

Also, for us to finish in play offs two seasons in a row, may silence some of the media critics who still think we are there to make the numbers up (seem to remember at start of season Phil Clarke said on sky we were his tip for wooden spoon)

He did! I'd forgot all about that. The season hasn't finished yet though so lets hold back on those emails.

Don't think he actually meant it to be honest. They pushed him for a prediction and he just came out with us randomly. Don't think he wanted to predict any team and it was just a flippant comment

I don't exactly know how that works money wise ? and of course we all want a top 8 finish, so unless its worth oodles of cash i will stick with developing our own young players. Lets face it they won't get a chance next year with the 12 hanging over us in a dog fight.

We in our present state are "just making up the numbers" but finishing last was a comment taking out of context if i remember rightly.

Collis wont play tomorrow injury looks like he might put Cowling in,lets face it last season against Saints he started with a clanger then just didnt put a foot wrong for the rest of the game.

I think the reward for just getting into the 8, and then to go out in the first round was something like 25k, it is not a jackpot, but helps the club with finances to some degree, when the winter sets in and they don't get the gate revenue but still have bills to pay

With Sykes and now Collis out, it doesn't look good for tomorrow.

20k for losing first game in play offs. Would have been around 60 last year if we'd beat leeds but then lost next game

Agreed, Collis missing would be a huge blow, especially with Sykes already out. Its going to take a massive effort to from them to get the win without them but they need to. Lose and they can book their end of season holiday.
