Complete apathy from players at these performances as spread to the minimal support we have left. I used to be gutted but now just shrug my shoulders.

The last million pound game against Cas made me sick with nerves, now I don't even care if we win or lose. So long as the majority of that squad aren't there next year.

I think both Bradford and Wakefield can expect a back lash after such a poor week end. Time will tell if both clubs adopted the right attitude .
I think our results far more disappointing than Bradfords its a game we should be more than capable of winning.
Its all about the result next week and nothing else. Bradford should arrive thinking we can be beat while Wakey will be hoping for a much improved performance yet again. Are the squad capable of putting a solid game together.

By God am glad I didn't go today! Saw this one coming. I feel sorry for you if you went and were let down by this group of players. I won't call them a team or Wakefield Trinity as most of them don't deserve those accolades. I feel sorry for Michael Carter also. Had the pleasure of meeting him last week and he clearly cares a lot about the club.
Well, they have been appalling this year and it is one of the worst seasons I can recall in my 45 years of watching Trinity. I just hope that this shower realise what this means to us next week and decide to show up. If we lose, you would have to say it's really no more than these players deserve and a good number of them should be ashamed of their lack of commitment and unprofessionalism.

Don't know why we bothered sacking Webster we have not improved one little bit. We were blowing out of our backsides after 10 mins. Mitch Stringer knocked seven bells out of our pack. The club is a joke and quite honestly if we are lucky enough to win next week, we will have it all this crap to look forward to again next season.

Is Jacob Miller with you next season? I was at a social event yesterday and he was talking to a Hull FC player. The Hull player asked where he was going and Miller said Newcastle. I suppose this could mean they are going there for Mad Monday, he is going back to Australia for a holiday or he may have signed for them

I totally agree Jack b Smith has had enough time with the squad and bought players in and yet we are still shown up by a championship team. Why do we do the following week in week out

Fail to ground the player allowing a quick play the ball
Don't move up just stand and wait for the opposition giving easy yards away
Allow the two players at marker to use it to take a breather letting the opposition dummy half get easy metres and create breaks
Fail to draw a man before we pass
Half backs who dont take the line on
Play at a snail's pace
Terrible last kick options
Poor basic handling

And so on . We are a joke of a club at the moment

Would have to add Scruton to the list as well...he was our best forward today and was shouting at the rest of the team when we bombed yet another half-chance in their 20.

I know Tim Smith is the club pariah at the moment and some don't want him pulling on a Wakefield shirt again, but worst case scenario for his court appearance this week will be a ban and fine, so he will be available next week and for me has to play, because without him leading us around the park, we are screwed !!
I think we made one clean break today against a championship side (and then managed to drop the ball with the line begging

) and that was from a tackle bust. We created absolutely nothing in attack, it was yet another lacklustre, sub-standard, dire performance, and having Miller and Godinet as our two half-backs simply does not work. Neither is capable of setting up a structured team attack, and neither has a kicking game.

Quite honestly, based solely on his time at our club I think Tim Smith would be a bigger loss than Brian Smith.

Agree completely the bloke has no balls and is lazy. People who are saying we desperately need him next week......what difference will he make? Have people forgot that he has played nearly every game...we have been crap nearly every game and so has he.

Tim Smith has been a load of pony all season and in the two times he has played with us scored about 12 tries- great half back play! As for today the best played was the one who has been out for about four months- Danny Kirmond. Johnstone made a good break and the score could have been levelled until the ball was dropped by yet another Wakefield played who can't catch. I'm afraid we could be on the wrong end of a drubbing next week. After 3 coaches it must be the players who are at fault. On another topic what happened at the back of the stand. I heard it involved MC?

Well that was a very poor game today from both sides in my opinion. The referee was also crap..head high shots and blatant off side from Sheffield going unpunished on several occasions.

Despite that Trinity were awful the worst I personally have seen them play in 35 years and I will not be spending more on watching that tripe next week.

Except for Kirmond, Johnstone, Scruton and Simon they are all an absolute joke unprofessional and showing a complete lack of skill composure or commitment. Kirmond has not played since June but was our best player by a long way in my opinion.

It's a fair point about the Cas rejects. It's one thing getting players from the Rhinos when they can't break into the squad, as they bust a gut to prove themselves, like Amor. It's another getting ones who Cas took on hoping for better but turned out to be duds (Tansey, Moore). Is there a single one of these bargain purchases who have been worth the money? Even Sammut was a waste of a shirt.

Maybe this is the reality of our means. Or just bargain shopping masquerading as it and being found out.

Or being naïve and clueless in recruitment.

There is a certain negativity about it, relying wholly on a profit, nothing else. We have decided that we won't spend money until the fans come through the turnstiles in greater numbers, rather than spending money to provide an incentive to get them through the turnstiles. Speculate to accumulate and all that.

It's not that we get the team we deserve, but that the club gets the support it deserves.

No one runs a rugby club to make money, and it's easy for me to say whatever I want when it's not my money on the line, but if you budget on 3K crowds, you get a team that deserves no more.

Carter will get the attendance figures he deserves.
