Didn't help that on numerous occasions last season Agar practically only used three of his interchanges by either not playing the forth sub or bringing them on with less than quarter of an hour to go.

I disagree it was dumb plays that cost us. Very amaetur errors we kept making time and time again. Game management was non existant at times.

Think there is some merit in what you are saying Briggsy but It would be a difficult task.
At the moment we don't even have enough players to make a game and for it to work you would need
to put a training plan together for the full squad.

It would be no good starting a training regime for 14 or 15 players then let a further 10 or so players join it in dribs and drabs. It would be extremely hard for any conditioner to achieve high results under those circumstances.

But yes you are right there is no doubt fitness carried us through to win a lot of games in that 'Geoff Evans' trained side.

Yes i understand where your coming from Jack but meantime untill we have a full squad i do think the players themselves could up their own personal fitness plan ready to go when the full squad is assembled, lets hit the ground running.

Until one of the kids is signed we don't really have a scrum half but a team with contracts for next year all the same

Anyway, the fitness thing, I agree with NGB4C to be honest.
Players tend to be out on their feet when they have to do more work because of silly errors, not because they are unfit.
It's not like any of them are Brendan Hill size, but if you keep turning the ball over, you will get tired before the opposition does.

The bit I'm referring is the bit that says we've got a side haven't we, look mate 17 players won't take us through a season unless we don't get an injury that seems pretty obvious which part I was referring to

Its a combination of things, fitness is only part of whats needed, i think most points have been covered already.

As people have said the tiredness came from turning the ball over and defending several repeat sets each game. The guys train hard and are fit. I can't speak for every player but I know that certain individuals always do their own fitness before the scheduled training as they take a pride in their job. Each player will have been given a regime to do before coming in for the first session. As NGB4C said (how is the Italian villa by the way?) our game management should have been lots better and this was also a big contributing factor in the teams tiredness.

We don't have the money to be asking players to sign contracts that we can't afford? Loans are a short term measure until we get more investment. Don't take your bat and ball home because players belong to other clubs. They will be busting a gut to get better contracts either with their owner clubs or with us, like Amor and Kirmond did.

I think that Trout needs to be told to put on another stone in muscle as I think Amor did in the off season last year when he came back clearly even bigger and stronger. If he does this I think he will be more effective.

Walshaw also needs to beef up and increase his fitness, he has the ability and it would turn him into a regular with some pace for a big bloke.

Annakin just needs to be given more game time at second row or loose forward next season. We saw flashes of his ability against Catalan IMHO.

If we need further strength in depth Paul Johnson coming back from Hull FC on a cheap deal would be good as we've saved money on the Tuson deal to now spend haven't we according to Wakey Express?

Keep this 23 and with the additions of loanee's its not as bad as some a making it out to be IMO.

I'm not in the know tryscorer, I'm assuming that we won't hit above the 3,000 memberships, so I'm also assuming that our squad is gonna be thread bare and as a consequence we'll bring in loanees. I don't like it but without the income the club can do nothing.
