| I will be going to watch Wakefield FC this season now they're back at belle Vue. Hopefully they'll start building a decent side and move with us to Newmarket & start moving up the football league ladder. You never know with Newmarket given the green light S Parkin and Kitrick might suddenly get bored with Guisley and see if they can put an end to Wakefield been the biggest City without a Football league team

Been going ever since just had a bad run of luck no ground and with hard times no sponsorships or enough but to their credit now pulling through, they put together a team, and now have a ground, they hope to get news sponnsors, and if the football fans get behind the team they can start bringing in better players and push up the league, they won their first friendly last night..

Like Wildcats they are starting nearly from scratch, people will not of heard of some teams, but as they push up the leagues they soon will do...

| Match Report By Dan Brownhill
Lancaster City 1 Wakefield 2
Wakefield picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory at fellow Division One North side Lancaster in The FA Trophy.
New goalkeeper Sam Dobbs made his Wakefield debut, with Danny Trueman starting on the bench. The injured Tom Marsden was replaced in the starting eleven by Shequille Clarke. There was a also a start for R
yan Grant at centre back, with Micah Bleau pushing into midfield.
Wakefield went into the lead within the opening five minutes, when Lee Turner's curling shot nestled into the far corner.
The Bears had further chances to score, but could not capitalise after some good approach play, and were punished on the stroke of half time when Lancaster's Dodwell headed in the equaliser.
The home side hit the bar twice in the second half with headed efforts, but it was Wakefield who found the winning goal deep into stoppage time. A free kick into the Lancaster box was eventually fired goalwards by Bleau, with Dave Boardman getting the last touch on the line to claim his first Wakefield FC goal.
It was a well earned victory for Wakefield, from a game that didn't finish until after 6pm, following a delayed kick off due to traffic problems on the M6.
=#0000FF The Bears now face another long trip to Burscough in the next round, on Saturday 29th September.
=#0040FFMeanwhile, Wakefield search for their first home win in over a year when they entertain New Mills on Tuesday night, kick off 7:45pm.
Wakefield: Dobbs, Blakey, Thornton (c), Bleau, Fisher, R Grant, Turner, Pickering, Boardman, J Grant, Clarke (Jarrett 77). Subs Not Used: Benjamin, Trueman, Hardaker, Fogarty.

| Errors cost Wakefield fc as New Mills gain a 5-3 win at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium..
I was talking to staff at the ground, and they say gate money goes to building Wakefield fc and the team, money from sales of drink and food goes to the Wildcats, so some how Wakefield fc need to get football fans down and with help of some Wildcats fans get crowds bigger, the both teams win and in the long term the Citys team gets stronger and puts Wakefield on the map.. I went Tuesday and the team needs some quality adding, the young kids are trying their best for Wakefield.. was told by gate man that a few Wildcats turned up to shout them on..bar was busy so the Wildcats was getting some turn over into the club..

Match report (Ross McLean)---------Saturday 22nd September 2012
Clitheroe let a two-goal slip as basement side Wakefield left Shawbridge with a share of the spoils.
Goals from Daley Woods and Danny Bell gave the Blues a commanding lead before the visitors replied with a quick-fire double to draw level before half-time.
Paul Moore made two changes to the starting line-up from Tuesday’s FA Trophy defeat to Northwich Victoria with Hakan Burton returning in goal and Danny Bell replacing Andy Naylor.
The game was only two minutes old when a seemingly harmless cross from Woods was fumbled into his own net by keeper Neil Bennett who was making his Wakefield debut.
The home side were very much in the driving seat at this stage with Alex Johnson and Bell both having chances to extend the lead before the pair combined in the 29th minute to double Clitheroe’s advantage.
Johnson slipped in Bell who beat Bennett with a left-foot effort from inside the penalty area.
Despite appearing in total control, Wakefield were level by the break with two goals in the final eight minutes of the half.
Hakan Burton had pulled off an impressive save to deny Harry Blakey from range moments before Lee Tuner found the top corner from the edge of the area after a Dave Pickering cross from the right was only half-cleared.
The visitors equalised on the stroke of half-time as a collective defensive failure afforded Blakey an opportunity to bear down on goal and finish past Burton.
The second period was a frustrating affair with Clitheroe unable to establish any real momentum or rhythm and Wakefield content to wind the clock down from a relatively early stage.
Johnson continued to prove a handful in the attacking third but a winning goal was not forthcoming. Woods had a firm attempt saved by Bennett and substitute Marcus Calvert’s snap-shot from the edge of the area went narrowly wide of the upright.
At the other end, Jack Higgins and Chris Smalley were required to execute perfectly-timed tackles as Wakefield looked to hit Clitheroe on the break when the game became stretched late on as hosts pushed forward.
After half an hour of this encounter it was looking as though Clitheroe would be improving an indifferent record against Wakefield in recent years but a win was ultimately not possible. A point maintains Clitheroe’s unbeaten start to the league campaign, and not since 2003 have the Blues remained undefeated for the opening five league matches of a season.
=#8000FFClitheroe: Hakan Burton, Chris Smalley, Lee Pugh (c), Will James (Marcus Calvert 7icon_cool.gif, Jack Higgins, Connor Smith, Ross Dent, Daley Woods, Alex Johnson, Jordan Williams (Andy Naylor 72), Danny Bell. Subs not used: Tom Murphy, Ritchie Mottram
=#0000FFWakefield: Neil Bennett, Dave Pickering, Josh Grant, Micah Bleau, Jack Fisher, Dominic Dickinson, Lee Turner (Jasmin Alali 89), Harry Blakey, Dave Boardman (Ross Hardaker 90), Darren Thornton (Adam Jarrett 83), Ian Marsden. Subs not used: Ryan Grant
