I followed a link to another forum from a thread somewhere on here, the thread on the other forum included a letter/email from Richard Lewis.
Part of his email claimed how he thought that French international development was that , developing.
He said how he thought that Frances performances were getting better, clearly Mr Lewis didn't take into account, how far the opposition was heading in the opposite direction.
Needless to say Wiggy and Dolphin teeth are doing their nuts, but this is like watching two middle of the table SL sides playing a dead rubber.
Not elite level, not two NRL sides and certainly not state of origin or Aus v NZ.

Thought Chase played well

I thought he was average and certainly isn't worth the loss of credibility we've suffered due to his inclusion.

Perhaps not, but the lack of credibility is 100% down to the coach, not the player.

spot on mate, i do not want to hear any southen hemisphere accents from a english team. makes me sick, give the english lads ago first , or i for one will not suport a english rugby league team of inports. yes i know some will say the Aus and New Z, do it, but it does not work for me. get it right RFL,the game is a joke from a english point.

Not blaming the player, I'm only assessing his game in an England shirt which was average at best! Beyond that if McNamara is going to beg steal and borrow players from other nations I'd expect them to be exceptional and worth the loss of credibility, Chase isn't! When you then factor in that we had the option of Danny Brough it becomes more confusing as to why we've compromised our principles to shoe horn Chase into the set up.

The blame lays firmly at the feet of McNamara who has made other glaringly awful decision already and we haven't even started the 4Ns yet!

Chase got frustrated and his basic skills seemed to not be up to scratch for me. I hope he can turn it around. I do agree with a previous poster in that DB should be 7 and Widdop in at 6. Their skills seem to complement each other well. Sinfield seemed to go missing too.

To be fair Rich the most annoying part for me is shoe horning a 13 into 6 and a 6 into 7 when you have arguably the best 7 in SL sat watching. For me if he was going to play Chase it should have been at 6 with Brough at 7 and Sinfield at 13. It's a comlete joke and i was hoping we would get turned over tonight by a team of Catalans players -2.

Brough & Widdop should have been the halves but now we're stuck with Chase at scrum half. Let's hope that McNamara comes into a little sense in the next few days and puts Widdop in at stand off.

There's no place for Sinfield, top class football teams can't carry a traditional ball playing loose forward any more it's now three back rowers who carry the ball strongly and tackle all day.

I agree entirely about Sinfield never really rated him and i also agree about Carvell. For me if Chase has to play it would be him at 6 and DB at 7. DB can control a game in very much the same was as Danny Orr which allows Chase to be the running 6 he does so well. Ideally it would be DB at 7 and GW at 6 but that aint gonna happen whilst Steve McNamara is in charge.

Chase was the nearest man to both of the French tryscorers for the last two tries. Expect lots of tries down the right over the next month. And off the cuff stuff is too risky at international level.

Don't mind Read too much, despite the accent. He was born here and so I presume has English parents as well. Chase has just chased the nearest international shirt.

And Tomkins is a better six than Sinfield. Can't comment on Widdop as not seen him at six, but Tomkins of last year was better than the Sinfield of this.
