Hey ho - it does seem that Leeds have won their battle to have the forward pass rule totally scrapped in RL, since it now seems to be ignored by all ref's.

It never ceases to amaze me how fans half cut and many half blind and fifty metres away from the action manage to see the game better than the professional stood only a metre away.

i dont think i've ever seen so many forward passes by both teams in one game, in fact we even shouted forward at some of ours too!

And Wakey didn't throw 1 I bet, also fail to mention the penalty you got when Morrison (The Wakey player) was messing around after Patrick had tackled him, like I say inconsistent ref yet again. But if you blaming him for today then you in for a very long hard season my friend!!!

Get a grip - of course I'm not blaming him; I abhor the 'flat pass' and the physics defying 'momentum rule' that makes it almost impossible for the officials to police the pass. All teams are getting away with it - including us - and it spoils the game.

Don't recall the Morrison incident - he did have a little scuffle in the last 20, but I thought that was a) with Mason and b) you got the penalty? In fairness though, I could have been pouring meself a cup of tea and missed it.

Re the forward pass debate Wakefield had some terrible forward passes today, SO did the Giants. I can understand the difficulties the officials have policing passes at speed on flowing attacking moves but today the passes from Dummy half were terible. Both Lunt and Robbo threw passes which were at least a yard forward.
Like other posters have said it seems that the RL have scrapped the forward pass rule. This is ironic as we used to laugh at RU for this yet it is now worse in our game.

the one with morrison was over on the riverside side and from where i was it looked like morrison pushed larne away from the PTB then a melee ensued and then it was given as a wakefield penalty,only thing i can think of was that larne had already been pinged for messing about,if not then very strange decision

Very strange decision as he did not give the penalty at first but then did after Morrison dropped the ball and pushed the Hudds player. Another strange one was the penalty just before half time when he waved play on then gave the penalty about 3 seconds later.

Big effort again today by the kids let down by silly mistakes losing the ball in our own half far too many times but a great effort and a much improved performance from Luke George
