Manuakafoa versus Lopini Paea will be interesting as both have showed some real form..

It will be interesting to see how we go in this one. For the first two rounds pretty much everybody outside the club thought we would lose and there was no expectation on us whatsoever. Now after two good wins we are not flying under the radar quite so much and there probably is a touch more pressure. Throw in the plastic pitch factor and we will need to step up another notch to get a result.

Last year we put two good performances on against Saints and Catalan, then the third week we went to HKR.
Hoping for a totally different third week this time around!

if i remember correctly, the tackle from keinhorse was a beauty that saved us at Belle vue. away at widnes it was luck that got us there.

we have been close on many occasions - i am sure many of you will remember Andy Raleighs comment when we finally "broke" them in another previous match!

My fault. We're still a bit sore after James Childs previous performances on a few occasions. Let's just say he's been frequently unkind over the years!

Anyway good luck for the rest of the season. Today could have just been an off day considering the start you've had so chins up and forget about it now.

Steady on, its only a couple of weeks since that Widnes drew with Wigan.

Simple truth Widnes turned up on fire and Wakey turned up asleep and we got what we deserved a good old fashioned thrashing

That pretty much sums it up.

We always come unstuck when we start believing we're world beaters. We got one or two unlucky bounces of the ball, but Widnes were making ground and we weren't. One of the most inept performances for a long time. I don't think Webster can cop any blame. It was individual stuff each time. The start of the second half summed it up. The slim chance of a comeback, fired up after a half-time roasting, blown when Hall sent the kick off straight into touch.

I can deal with "just one of those days", but it came at a bad time. It will cost the club money on Friday, when the floating fan decides to save his or her twenty quid and watch it on the telly.

I don't know if it's already need said,but after that dismal performance , I hope we didn't pick up any long term injuries,Andersons didn't look too good and Kirmo taken off

Webster reckoned on Radio Leeds after game that Anderson could be 2 months. He didn't mention other players individually but did say we'd picked up some knocks.

You would of thought the tremendous reception the team received from the travelling fans would have 'fired' them up.
But no. The Wakefield way, is as ever, to undo any good that has been done!

The vast majority of those 17 players will have to play in 4 days time against St.Helens due to injuries or players on loan.

If outmuscled against Widnes then what about the massive Saints pack?



With Anderson getting injured for 2 months it gives a chance to Michael Simon to impress and show his strong running against the best team in super league. If Kirmond also has a knock then I'd leave him out of this one and straight swap with Ashurst.

Could also do with Kirke getting match fit quick...
