I wouldn’t say awful… but whatever happened at half time worked because the second half when pointed in the right direction I thought Atoni , Hamlin-Uele and co Continually rolled us up the park in the middle of the field.

Unfortunately got a whack on his leg and came off.. but don’t know how bad it was..

His first spell he looked like he couldn’t be bothered.

It was a throwback to some of his efforts in the first half of last year.

Second spell as soon as he came on he was asking for the ball and looking for work, looked like he’d had a rocket off someone.

I know it’s a Trinity thread but I thought the 11 for Siddal had a good game took it to our lads especially in the first half.

I don’t disagree mate …but I didn’t think he was awful… he and others were just pointed in the ri direction in the second half.

Strange atmosphere but didn’t affect the enjoyment.

Talk to people standing 4 or 5 rows deep and the chaos around parking was way off.

No queues for the food and drink, reasonable prices easy access to toilets and no hold ups leaving the ground.

Siddal did themselves proud.

I stand corrected...having just watched the tries on the highlights, Croft was playing on the wing and got 2, so did Jerry get injured or were they just resting him ??

There was still plenty of space around the pitch and credit to Siddal for organising a great day and they had a real dig in the first half.
An excellent day all round.

Jack Croft played on the wing for 40 minutes in the second half and scored twice.

The Siddal try still looks like a lost ball going forward on the highlights vid. Thought that at the time. Still can't see the reason for extra penalty after he missed the conversion.

I thought that tbf. I was thinking maybe he dabbed it through but was defo lost forward, much to the disbelief of Lino and Jerry.

What was the foul play that gave them the follow up penalty?
It must have been something during or just after the actual act of scoring.

It wasn't a PT though as first conversion was from in line, with the "try".

PT is given in front of the posts.

It was given as a foul in the act of scoring, hence an 8-point try (attempt at 8 points) = 1st kick in line, 2nd kick in front of posts.

Penalty try, foul in the act of scoring...I say just let it go, they deserved a try. We move on, and we'll have bigger issues than that to fret about this season, I'm sure of that.

A penalty try is when no try was scored because the defender did something against the rules to stop it. So try is awarded.

An 8 point try is when an infringement happens in the act of scoring so the try is awarded, kick takes place, then a penalty is awarded.
