| Quote ="Khlav Kalash"The outline planning application is for the whole development as without the industrial element the construction of the stadium is not viable. If it’s declined then I have no idea whether there is an appeal process, but if not, then there is no new stadium.
If it's granted then the detailed planning application will be submitted fairly swiftly. I believe the plans for this are already well on the way.
As an aside, today’s express has Demetriou outlining his ambition to lead Wakefield out in the new stadium as long as his body holds out, and also the Express comment, under the heading ‘Vital to get behind ‘Cats’, is very supportive too;

It took Waystone 11 Month to obtain Outline planning!!!
Good luck to Yorkcourt if they get it in 3 months

Every case is different, 3 months would be of course be at the optimistic end of estimates.

| Just thought it might be of interest but this week plans for a power station have been approved for [url=http://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/publicaccess/tdc/DcApplication/application_detailview.aspx?caseno=KLFBVEQQ01V00&searchtype=WEEKLYNewmarket Lane[/url. Methane from the Silkstone Colliery will be used to generate electricity 24 hours a day for the next 25 years. There were =#FF0000THREE objectors.
This perhaps bodes well for the rest of the development getting the go ahead.

Is this not happening now?
Also I am surprised none of the people"in the know" did not correct this at the time.

The theory behind Yorkcourt acquiring BV instead of the cash coming from Cala is that the land value that transfers to their balance sheet exceeds the £2m required by WMDC.

It is very interesting looking back at some of these threads. I particularly like the ones where Sandal wild cat explains why the new government would not take Newmarket to PI. MMMMM that gets me thinking where has SWC gone????

No idea. I imagine events over the past six months have put paid to that.
I suppose it's a fine balance. The PI appears to have been the catalyst for everything to fall off the rails. Had it been granted then this can of worms would certainly never have been opened and everyone but a few people at the top would've been in ignorance.

| I have been informed that there is no requirement for financial input from WT and that there is no requirement for BV to be part of any deal either.
NM is the basis of our new future - anyone who stands in the way of this is standing in the way of RL in Wakefield - no exclusions.

As TRB has stated above, clarifications were sought by SWAG and RFN (via TRB) about the requirement of financial input from WT and BV. We have indeed been informed that there is no current or indeed anticipated future requirement for financial input from either WT or BV on Newmarket. The current Newmarket proposals already stand and continue to stand on their own merit, business plan and economic return.
I will add to what TRB has said and also say that not only will anyone standing in the way of Newmarket be standing in the way of the future of RL in Wakefield, but also other field sports, world class community sports facilities, future educational opportunities and new jobs!

TRB, I wouldn't be surprised if the person who "informed" you of this was the same person who "informed" me that input was required.

I think if you send either TRB or myself a PM telling us who has informed you of this fact we can confirm or deny if indeed it is the same person.

Well that is just as well, seen as WTWC do not have any money and do not own Belle Vue. Who ever has informed you of that, could not really have said anything else due to the circumstances unfolding.

I do find that statement a bit over the top, the residents of the newmarket area have every right to complain about the development , although I dont think they have even looked properly at the plans.
I went with a mate to the trust meeting as an interested bystander and it seems you have a core of supporters that would walk over broken glass for trin and I applaud them, but as shown at your friendlies , the people of wakey do not seem to care .
I hope you get sorted and have even signed your newmarket forms but fear that the stadium is now the least of your problems.
Good luck from Methley

Thank you for your kind wishes, but the attendances and general feeling isnt towards Trinity, its towards who runs it at the moment. I have many people say they are not going there again or spending any more money with them until the regime change occurs.
A new ground, a new board, a new hope for the future will see many changes.

That is right Rugbyball... you just continue being a bitter keyboard warrior and running everything down to do with Wakefield and RL in Wakefield mate. You clearly DO wish to stand in the way, but your intentions have always been clear if your reasons for doing so where not initially known. What I find most sad about you is that you are not even a local objector on Newmarket, with whom I disagree but have some respect, you are just a bitter Featherstone Rovers fan who just wishes to see Wakefield fail out of some misguided feelings of local rivalry.
Now to answer what I assume you wished to be a rhetorical question. As it was not the club that the information came from I would expect they would say something else if this was not the case.

I don't think TRB was (and I certainly wasn't) denying the Newmarket Lane residents or any other objectors of their rights to object but neither do I think he is being over the top... those people are indeed standing in the way of RL in Wakefield in his and my opinion. However, I respect and defend their rights to do just that, as much as I do with my rights to support the development.

If that is aimed at myself and RDM then I don't see any winking, if not, please accept my apologies in advance.
For the record the person who informed RDM was not the same source. So no in-the-know secrets here, just maintaining peoples confidence when it is asked for.
Sorry, could not resist the wink!

Attendances at friendlies mean nothing. I have no interest in paying to see a glorified training session.

Funny that many who thought they may have been 'in the know' were merely just getting scraps from the top table. Hopefully for some who have traded on that, future BoDs will keep those at arms reach rather than being all pally pally.

Hopefully, future BoDs will have a fans' representative on them, and will operate in a much more transparent way, so there'll be no need for the cloak and dagger stuff.
