At normal speed and without the vid ref Thaler saw the same as everyone else and rightly gave a try. Had Thaler been unsighted and sent it up I guess it would have very dependant on his call. Mountain and molehills spring to mind here for the usual suspects.

Maybe I’m over simplifying it but the ball didn’t bounce or bobble and there was clear downward force with his right arm. It looked untidy and maybe an element of luck it transferred well to his right arm but was certainly a try.

Fair enough if you see it differently but Having watched it again on YT the ball touches the ground after leaving Kelepi’s right arm, so if it did go to VR I could see it being ruled out. It was as you say untidy.

It was given as a try - as an "on the field view" had it been sent upstairs it would have still gone up as a try and they wouldnt have enough to overturn it due to that.

Yup, the problem was that although the Bradford winger was a yard short the ageing Whitfield was still puffing his way over the halfway line. He gave it simply because he didn't know and just assumed.

The other that springs to mind was Ellery Hanley who clearly dropped the ball from some height whilst playing for Wigan but a try was still allowed. We were getting hammered at the time but it’s the only part of that game that I clearly remember.

I did presume incorrectly but in my defence I was unaware of a controversy in the Hull game not having access to Sky currently. I was also not aware of the doubt about Tanginoa’s try until I saw the match on Trinity TV because with Brexit all elements of Sky Sports are not available including highlights.

We did not sign up to the agreement that would allow Sky to transmit from a U.K. subscription via the internet outside of the U.K. and Ireland. We have also not signed up to the current data roaming agreement which means that prior to the 01/01/2021 you could use the 4G anywhere in the EU as if you were in the U.K. The companies are no longer bound by these restrictions and are starting to impose stand alone charges for U.K. users in the eu. I believe some have started already with the majority to follow on the 01/01/2022. If you travel to the EU and you pay the bill turn off your data roaming until it is required then shut it down again.

For balance you do have a duty free allowance but the prices do not appear to be that much cheaper. I don’t want to derail the thread but you also now need to remember we are the all others gate at passport control, and the nothing to declare at customs (if you don’t of course. I would not suggest going through the EU gates if they are separate, because they are likely to send you back or search your luggage. We are now classed as a third party country (I believe that what it is called ).
