I think you are all kidding yourselves if you think we are going to have much if any spare cash to buy players. Next seasons budget will be eroded by the work required on BV. I don't doubt Glover will give us a slight cash injection but not 500k worth - the bulk of the upgrade money will come from the playing budget IMO regardless of any comments made to the contrary.

I know I will be shot down for bursting bubbles but I don't care. Glover has 3 years to produce a side fit for NM, for the reasons given that will start in ernest in the 2013 season.

At the moment our main aim has to be to retain the players who were destined for other clubs before our redemption arrived.

The most satisfying thing is that if true we have a chance to deprive Widnes of at least four players they thought they would pick up for peanuts.

I suspect Bradford as a dead cert already had Sammut in their sites long before we knew we were saved. I never thought for one second we would stand a chance even if we had bothered - he was a well hyped player.

Witt is a more realistic target, I give us a 20% chance of signing him.

this deal was agreed before the Crusaders bubble went BANG (and boy did it burst). Like Vastman said, Witt would be a more reasonable target. Would take Mellars and Mcpherson off their hands too, but wouldn't touch Keith Senior with John Kears turtle wax.

Bradford seem to have a plethora of halfbacks all of a sudden. Jeffries, Sammut, Kearney, Gale, Herbert, Briggs, Southernwood. I'd guess the first four will stay but the last three are likely to be surplus to requirements there. Whether they are any use to use is another matter.

You forget that to even have a squad similar to that we had in 2010 we were running at a 200k deficit I believe. Take a lot of £2 to cover that and the groundworks. Fans are fans and only want a winning team, I understand that I'm one of them. Sadly it's never that simple.

Interesting to see RM being so honest about his reason for leaving us and his feelings on it now, and although it's the sun, and you expect poor journalism it's another media outlet that is reporting we were spared only by crusaders going pop.
As far as I can see there is nothing to back this up, but yet another so called fact doing us down. A good pr man should be the first signing we make to restore the balance after years of media negativity.

I agree with you and it will haunt us for years and to most people will become fact - a bit like some of the more lurid stuff regarding Ted has cemented itself as fact regardless of whether it is or not - and that's not a go at you personally either. It's just the way people work they believe what suits them, I have done it we all have.

There are so many damaged egoes in RL right now that we are and will remain RL scapegoats for years to come. Nothing AG or anyone else can do about that short term, prepare for a bumpy ride as a Trinity fan.
