We have a new sugar daddy from the middle east, a life long Trinity fan, who got by watching dubbed highlights on Al Jezzera, who has open his wallet and bought the club, however due to commitments with his oil company he will leave Ted in Charge as steward. The new investor has also thrown money at the WMDC to finish Trinity Walk and have enough left over for plenty more silk sheets for out beloved Mr Box. The sheets were enough to swing the deal with Box and Full planning permission was steam rolled through last night. Work has begun this morning.
With the new money available Brough will be staying put and be paired with Finch in 2011. Oh and Cookie has signed too.

However the announcement of significance is that outside the new ground there will be a 30 foot solid gold statue of King Kear himself. In a few years when Danny Sculthorpe is retired and broke he will be offered a job at minimum wage to clean the statue with a fine toothbrush, 9 hours a day, 351 days a year.

It’s a sensible option to take. His form of late has been patchy so it best to ensure he’s still got the appetite for RL before handing him a 2 year contract.

It's a strange one, because if Cooke plays well he'll be able to negotiate for a bigger contract or move elsewhere. Although i suppose it could mean we're in the hunt for a very special player for 2011

Couldn't understand the logic of trying to sign Cooke while the Brough contract issue was still open at all, but the way things have materialised over the last week, I have to say I think we've come out of this a lot better than we could perhaps have hoped for.

Was never a great fan of Cooke since his Challenge Cup final exploits went to his head and he wasted his talent, but he's one of ours now, and he gets my support.

I hope for his sake, but above all for ours, that Kear can get the best out of him again, and that he concentrates on his rugby career and making a name for himself at Wakefield.
