The last couple of pages on here regarding Batchelor gate and player management in general goes to show the importance of the appointment of Ste Mills as recruitment manager.
Jerrys story of his departure from the giants is another example of bad player management (something the giants excel at) and not something that just happens at Trinity .
Batch has moved on … good luck to him in his career. I also think Trinity have moved on now with our recruitment strategy. Transparency is always the key…a great listen on transparency is the second half of a podcast Ste Mills did with Trnity Heritage on recruitment .
I’m a fan of moving forward rather than dwelling on decisions (good or bad ) that were made in the past .

Don't know much about him but if this is who Super Ste has been chasing I reckon he'll go well.

Heard a few times that Oledski from Leeds has signed with us for 2026, no idea of his contract situation but it`s what I`ve heard from a few now.

Signed a 4 year deal Dec 2021,so in last year now

That would be good enough for me, and sometimes moves after being at a club for some time can be the making of players.

Initially a no from me too, however, if we are looking for a domestic prop who is out of contract at the end of 2025 and who can step into the first team…I can’t see any other player id pick ahead of him

He’s happy in his comfort zone, content at Leeds to just be there! I’ve known him since he was 12 when he was playing for Hunslet, he’s a great lad and someone you’d like as a friend. When he was 13 going on 14 he was overlooked by Leeds and it was only when other clubs started nominating him for their Scholarships that Leeds came back for him and he was delighted to accept Leeds offer. He’s been so haunted by almost missing out that he’s become overly grateful to be there, even at 26 years of age having played for England he suffers from imposter syndrome at Leeds and is still grateful. His lack of self belief, underpinned by that near miss is what’s held him back from reaching the potential he had a young prospect. It’s a shame that he’s not moving from them because it’s what he really needs to do!

Would have been happy to give him a go but seems like we're not able to match his needs so fair enough.
