i for one am not too bothered about jay going as i dony think he is that good at the moment(not saying he wont make it).also not worried about the rummers of players leaving ie drew,martin etc,as we are been linked with better players newton,evens,morrison.what is a problem though is the strentgh in depth we have for rest of season if we pick up any injuries on friday we will be short for what could be 3 very inportant games,games we should be looking at winning if we want to make the playoffs

Mutts I am not for one second saying that you are not supporting the club. All I am reporting is the facts and I only do this because this thread was putting the club in a bad light. We have acted in good faith at all times with Pitts.

Pitts was offered an improved contract by Trinity. He was not forced out. We offered him an improved contract because we wanted him to stay. We have to put a value on each player and 99 times out of 100 the players agent thinks our offer is miles to low, and 99 times out of 100 the agent lets it be known that another club is willing to pay much more. We do not always get it right but we do OK. The vast majority of our players and their agents are extremely happy with the way contract talks are dealt with by Trinity.

Please do not read to much into the players going out on loan or leaving before the end of the season, this has been covered in other threads but the main point I would keep in mind is that all the players who have gone on loan had lost their first team place and, with the exception of Rooney who did not play in the reserves, were puuting in below par performances in the reserves. One could suggest that there was a break down in the relationship, dummy spitting and tedy out of the cot etc etc. This behaviour is just not acceptable and can lead to a team spirit problem.

Compare Bibb and Pitts in the last few reserve matches to the all action 100 % effort given by Hendo. Pitts was so bad in the reserves that I was suprised that Leeds did not pull out of the deal. The relationship is a two way thing, we expect 100 % and cannot accept anything less, we must have value for money.

Rooney was never likely to get his first team place back, and needed to put himself in the shop window. Rooney also reported in the Express that he was told well in advance that he would not be offered a new contract, again we cannot afford to be sentimental. We gave him and his agent as much time as possible to find a new club.

Please don't try and guess what I do and don't know - or when.

As it happens I 'stumbled' across this piece of information around 4 months before it came live and it was another forum member who gave it to me - although he himself had no idea.

The rest of this thread is farce. We are all wanting the best for our club, yet it is those who do not come on here who have the 'real' job of running it - and yes, some of the decisions they make are unpopular - it may actually be that they are sad about it too - but we have to cut our cloth and move on.

That you (and seemingly many on here) don't like them is irrelevant - a word I would describe of the 'original' re-born and untouchable 'supporters club', but I do not generally interfere with their affairs or the people who are involved in it.

Quite agree - but as I have always said, it needs to be an informed choice and if you choose to go with the 'fun bus' then you must be aware that they are not sanctioned by the club and, afaik, their funds do not go to the club at this time. That may change in the future - who knows?

People keep saying this but i really cant see them both coming as next year clubs will be allowed a maximum of 6 overseas players, cas currentley have 7-

Cant see any of our in contract players being released (being some of our best players) so unless the rfl shift the goalposts (not impossible admittdley) it cant happen.

I am talking about the travel to away games. It's a complete farce. Used them for about 6 years plus until something happend. Will not use them again.

Did the original supporters club once want to put some money in the clubs fund but they were told "no"

People can choose to travel with who they want and they can not just chose the option that is the best for the club which is the view some people have

If there's one argument we don't need to bring up again it's the whole WiSA/Supporters Club/WiSCA thing again! We [ishould[/i all be pulling in one direction, not in different ones just for the sake of ego - and I cast no blame on any side here, as I only know bits of stories and not the full facts!

I think you're right.

All sides have had their chance to voice their opinions about Pitts. WISCA, and every other hell that the club has deliberately created to torment the loyal supporters are separate issues entirely.

I'm closing this now so we can all sit down and have a nice cup of tea... and remain friends.
