Just curious but, why do many of our recent signings seem to take an eternity to complete? Other clubs seem to announce their signings without all the weeks of hype we seem to muster, by the time we've signed the player it's an anti climax!

It seems our club prefers to leave announcements until the dotted line is signed.

Call me old fashioned but I prefer paperwork to be signed first. It’s not my fault so many try to make it like they are ‘in the know’ in the vain hope of looking big!!
I learnt a harsh lesson a few seasons ago
Played A agreed and waiting for his signature. 2 weeks later he gave backword. How stupid we would have looked announcing that without paperwork signed

Broughs certainly divided the fans in two pretty quickly. Just another week and he can make a start on the dressing room.

You are getting boring now old boy, in Chester we have someone who seems to know what he is doing and what we need in our squad, IMO he has not made a bad (Or at least terrible) move yet, but this is such a bad move all of a sudden?

What I like about this signing:

1. Brough still has some really good qualities, mainly his ability to guide a team around the park and his kicking game - Two elements that we have sourly missed and IMO will take us to that next level as a team.

2. We are not reliant on him - Will he be our first choice half? I don`t know but if he is we still have adequate cover that are proven performers at SL level in Reynolds and Hampshire so if he does come with the wrong attitude its not the end of the world, yes we are stuck with a wage (From what I have heard is been subsidised by Hudds anyway) but we can tell him where to go.

I really don`t see how this is such a massive gamble? People keep talking about him coming in and upsetting camp these are adults and professionals for god sake, this isn`t primary school antics, there big boys I am sure they know how to deal with these kind of things - Belive it or not there will be egos in our squad currently and not everyone will be the best of friends.

Why be so disrespectful to and adopt a superior attitude towards other supporters?
I am a member , by no means a ‘sheep’.
I have my own views ,not easily influenced , and certainly do not meekly ‘follow the flock’.

If don't think people are anti-Brough, but plenty have concerns including myself. I am not a RL coach or club owner. If CC and MC think it's right for the club then that will do for me.

I personally stay away from the Facebook page as there are a large amount of idiots, not saying there aren`t some genuine fans on there as I know of a few that are. I know we get a few trolls on here but genuine fans far outweigh them IMO.

Just returned from a few days away in Cardiff, and just the feel around the city reminded me as to how good a location, and weekend Cardiff used to be.

Another good vibrant city in the UK, who enjoy a good time and their sport, is Glasgow. 3 decent sized stadiums, good nightlife and also an underground train station I believe.

I also think you can get the train direct from Leeds/Wakefield and maybe even Manchester.

Could this be a potentially good location.

What I'm concerned about is Brough hasn't really come here on his own accord, more to do with being pushed out of Hudds, so I hope he doesn't spend his time sulking.
