I imagine it sailed cos yorkcourt did nothing. It's disgusting what they have been able to get away with and the council should hang their heads in shame but we know they won't. I support the team not the ground so would go wherever. I know lots won't agree but if the council etc don't want a professional team in the immediate city there's not a lot they can do. Don't think Belle Vue was ever a realistic option. It was a diversionary tactic to string the whole process along and buy a few more years of time. It also took the heat off Newmarket.

There is nothing wrong with voting labour, there is EVERYTHING wrong with voting Box back in, which the good people of Altofts and Whitwood have just done !

The bottom line is whoever owns the Super Bowl building will sell to the highest bidder. It is nothing to do with the council because it is not a public building. They will be a business and if we have bid and it was not the most they are not going to sell it to us.
If it was your house would you, no it would go to whoever made the highest bid. I don't even know if we bid on the superbowl site but I guess MC knew it was coming with his recent announcements.
We have had years to get something sorted and yes we have been mislead but we must accept some responsibility to let it drag on for so long. I guess if we had the money we could have threatened legal action but chose not to believing we would probably lose.

We're getting round to a point where it is surely time to stop being so bloody reasonable about the situation. Box and the council need to be publicly called out over this shambles.

I think that WMDC has far longer pockets than anyone connected with Trinity.
It may be abuse of ratepayers/taxpayers money but, I dont think that this would be any concern of most politicians and certainly the current leader is the type to want to "win at all cost's". Therefore, we are probably right not to go down the legal route.
Its extremely sad and extremely annoying and certainly if we need to be protesting again, count me in !

Me! I posted earlier today that Super bowl had been sold to a property company in Leeds.

Prior to this years glorious Wemberly victory i would remove the name Wakefield and just go as Trinity and make a very public statement as to why prior to the match. The current council do not deserve any publicity for the city that the club undoubtedly bring. I would keep the Trinity until we finally get some help and support from the people that supposedly serve the city.
I would not go so far has having the reception at Dewsbury but would certainly keep the event from the Town Hall. I appreciate this seems a drastic step but believe it is proportionate to the drastic situation we are in and there may not be a better opportunity than our upcoming Wemberly appearance.

As far as we are aware Super Bowl has been sold and not to Yorkcourt or Council which is not surprising as neither of them put a bid in. It has not been bought by Paul Caddick who I would like to place on record has not hindered our actions in any way, quite the contrary, he has been helpful.

Some Trust members are out of the Country at present and others will be heading over to France at the end of the week but I would like to see a statement issued by the Trust or even a Public Meeting called when we get back from Perpignan.

No we are Wakefield Trinity and we represent the City of Wakefield the WMDC don't represent us and they don't care about our City never will whilst King rat box is at the helm. Reverting back to Wakefield Trinity & getting our badge back is a brilliant decision by the club.
