To be honest, Hickey and to a certain extent big Charlie (forget name) are the only ones taht under achieved in my opinion

Stosic, Poore, Tronc were all great but left for various reasons. None of them playing ability
I was a big fan of Steve Southern but as said above, he should have been left in the second row.

You guys have looked to the NRL for impact front rowers for the last 6/7 seasons and I'd imagine the money paid out won't have been peanuts.... I am surprised you've taken this route again all thigns considered.

I think it is the right way to go. We wouldn't get his quality from within the SuperLeague/Championship without offering a long contract.

He brings quality for a short term fix. He wants to boost his career and we have good form of doing that and we need what he has in terms of strong and solid skills with experience thrown in.

As already said above, wings and back rows can be filled from within, but not so much props and even more so as we were down 3 props.

James Stosic was one of the best overseas forwards we've had, he was so underrated. We really missed him when he was out of the side and you could see a big difference in the performances when he was back.

I'd have loved to have seen him pack down with Adam Watene, they would have made a great front row pairing.

Tronc was unexpectedly all class until he got fed up so he was only a let down in as much as he wasn't here very long.

Korkidas was a great servant to the club and did a job, not great, had knobs all over him but played to a certain standard every week.

Poore did exactly what he was brought over to do, he wasn't ever going to be a Shane Tronc he was more of a cornerstone, hard yards, don't mess with me front row.

I like the look of Mr Anderson maybe he is the one.

Interesting comparison re overseas forwards. I think that Stosic was probably the best pound for pound we have had in recent years. Very underrated.

Thought Stosic had a really good partnership with Wilkes.
Stosic then got a knee injury and when he came back into the side,wasn't quite the same player.

His debut game for Wakey was Wigan away on a cold evening I believe,run his blood to water,I too rated him highly,hard working prop.

The thing I remember most about him was his defense. He wasn't charging all over for cover tackles but anyone that came near him was hammered to the floor. You could tell they hurt the opposition and he rarely missed.

I wonder if Sausage ever bothered getting his Serbian passport?
