As I've said before; We are the better package. He can have the money to bring over the names he wants from the NRL, as a city club we have a greater potential for growth as well as the better youth production system.

Gentle could do wonders for WT & WT could do wonders for Peter- think of the reputation he'd go home with after building us from a lower SL team, playing out of BV & into a competitive & attractive SL team (ala Wire).
All the while bringing Nigel Wright through to replace him after 5 years!

Can't see it being Gentle based on the post from "Atilla" (who has called a number of other things correctly), which said some would be pleased, some not and he/she was shocked.

I think whilst most people have a different favourite they would like, we are all united with regards the list of people we definitely don't want which is headed by Agar/Goulding.

To avoid disappointment, I am therefore working on the principle that as long as it is not one of the definite "no-no's", I will be reasonably happy (oh and provided they veto any possible move for Fozzard)

I can't help but think the appointment will be a big let down. I'm not sure we will be able to entice some of the names being banded about on here.

We have a history of being let down however I definately think we are capable of pulling off a quality signing.
Wether or not that will be a big name or just a conduit to the next level, people may have to look at the bigger picture to avoid disappointment, which is usually beyond some on here.
Looking at it from AGs perspective, he has a clear 10 year plan, that should be remembered.

No matter where Gentle goes, I'm hoping against hope he doesn't go to Cas, just to see Gronk and his followers furiously back-pedalling. Kear to Cas would make my off-season.

Personally, I'm inclined to believe Atilla, who claims our HC a surprise signing and not one of the names that's been bandied about on here; intriguing.

There's a post on the Hull board saying that Agar and two others have interviews with us this week, which came for an ex Hull player.

One I hope it isn't true, thought AG and JE would have got the message that we dont want Agar and two, I thought we were past the final 3 stage and ready to appoint.

Agar is Jimmys buddy and if he gets the job we'll all know that although AG has worked wonders with improvements to the club THAT some things have not changed and its already the case that people have been promoted from within the "circle" at the club of familly and friends.

Lets hope sense prevails and we get the right man. The right man is open to debate (granted) but its sure as hell is not Agar.

Absolutely agree. Agar has done naff all with a decent hull squad - if the jobs for the friends and family routine starts up again, then it will alienate a number of people who were starting to look forward to next season and beyond with some positivity.

Pretty sure Attila has already said its not someone that has been mentioned and considering Agar is mentioned at leased once on every page of this thread i dont think it will be him. Attila hasnt been wrong yet.

My worry is the advice AG is getting is coming from one man and thats not the best idea, i hope it changes and we can all look forward to a bright future cos ALL trin fans deserve it.
