I might be on the naughty step from time to time and air my frustrations but the fact remains that I like many other frustrated fans will renew their season tickets. Of course we will for the reasons you and the bloke above state. We can’t shake this affliction we have.

Not criticising Kay for his performances but if he and Pitt’s are classed as our best players, no wonder we are at the bottom. Over the years we’ve been collecting too many players from the championship.

Buying a season ticket for Trinity is part of my DNA and has been for the past 67 years. I have to acknowledge that MC saved the club, but I have to agree that his actions (and those of others) have negated those efforts to a great extent. Should we go down I'm sure my enthusiasm will grow if we maintain a good, successful playing record, owner and training staff in the Championship. I have to admit that in my years watching my other team (Barnsley FC) I actually enjoyed their time in the third tier more than the years in the second.

Whether we are watching Batley or Wigan down at belle Vue next season it is really out of my hands and for people higher up the food chain to sort out , but me n the boss will be sat in the new stand having paid for our season tickets monthly this year , and will do for the foreseeable future

He was up until about 6 weeks ago but Kay along with others has been way off boil.

He didn’t start well but admirably filled in some positions.

Let’s not kid ourselves, he’s recognised by fans for his versitality but he hasn’t particularly played well in any of those positions.

He would be decent as a squad player in championship but for me he’s back up and not a starter if we survive 2023 and are in SL 2024.

He’s been terrible at 13 most noticeably. I started the season thinking he’d make a decent fist of 9 but he’s struggled there too.

I won’t knock his efforts and willingness but let’s not exaggerate.

I honestly wouldn’t want to select a player of the season this year. Maybe Fifita which says alot but it’s slim pickings.

I think he's not always had enough game time, I think we play better with him on the field.

He’s been awful at 13. Hasn’t got the physicality for that. He’s average at 9 and can only fill in at centre. He’s not one of our better players. He’s a solid squad rotation player who isn’t good enough to start in any position imo. I’d play him centre tomorrow though so we could put griffin at right SR.

What seems to get forgotten is that Kay is a decent winger. We have managed to get games out of him elsewhere fortunately for the team. The amount of wingers we have carried in recent years for me is wrong. More important positions should have been prioritised.

Got to say think Kay as been one of the better players ,think Pitts is not up there .If most fans know this season is down to buying to many players that are championship players over the last few year ,and this year ,how come the people in charge including the Coach do not no that

Agree with that. I still believe Kay’s best position is on the wing.

Who says they don’t know. They know far more than me or you as they’re constantly around the club.

What would you have them do? Admit and confront the players and berate them publicly calling them not up to standard?? That would have been chaos. Such a silly suggestion. They simply must get the best they can out of what they have.

They could try to offload some not upto it? (Taufua, Butler, Gaskell) Done.

They could try to bring a few in to try boost performance? (Dagger, Fifita, Griffin, trialists) Done.

A lot of fans getting on coaches back but the fact is the accumulation of poor signings and resigning from 2018 has put us right here. Many coaches would have found themselves in exactly this situation.

That's a pretty fair assessment of Kay. Always gives 100% but the truth is he wouldn't get a game anywhere else in Super League, including Cas. Admire him for filling in wherever he's asked and giving it his all, but his best position is on the wing.
