I really don't want to see Battye in a Wakefield shirt again. Never noticed anything terrible in defence but the amount this guy drops the ball on the 1st/2nd tackle is embarrassing.

I would go with:
Jowitt
Lineham
Lyne
Croft
Senior
Lino
Gale
Bowden
Hood
Whitbread
Ashurst
Griffin
Atoni
Fiffita
Eseh
Pitts (LF interchange)
Bowes (can’t not have a interchange 9 like this week)

Can't disagree but we're not blessed with options. Griffin to second row maybe Pitts to 13 but I think that leaves us lacking a bit of firepower out wide.

Appreciate he'll be lacking form but isn't Tanginoa due back?
Rather him drop in at SR and have our Pittsy at 13.

| Will be interesting to see how the bookies see it, they take all the emotion out of it and normally get it right. I suspect they will make Cas favourites as I think they will see Widdop, Austin and Westerman as match winners. Like mentioned on another post I think McShane will play, he has been back in training for over two weeks now, I fear him more than any of above three.

| Agree with that. Maybe they will have a look at the French hooker instead of Kaye for a change? Salabio probably has more experience than Eseh but local heart and commitment may see local lads take the shirts.

| I'd put Lino on the bench and go Gale and Dagger. Kay certainly needs a spot somewhere.

| Would have thought we'd put our best team out so wouldn't have lino anywhere near it, reverted to type at hull stop start inaccurate passing and definitely responsible for the first try,
Shame that langi got injured but at least we have a ready made replacement, Personally think its a big ask for either eseh or sabalio think you could make a case for either

Though Hulls first try was down to Pitts as said Lino had a bad game with ball in hand but not going to blame him for the 40 points we scord

| Bottom line here is that regardless of who Cas bring in, we are in better for and we're at home.
No excuses, this is our game to lose.
Yes, the way this season has gone, anything could happen,
However, not so many weeks ago, we were 8 points back and hadn't won a game all season.
Cas will certainly have more to worry about than we do and sod 'em (twice)
Come on Trin !

| I'm not sure what he'll be like at getting them up for the game but we have to be ready for a boost.
We must start well and try to knock the enthusiasm out of then.
Decent coach to being them back though if they go down.

| If it’s Ward then didn’t he take London down which is his only season coaching in SL?
Anyway, Cas will be panicking more than us for this next game. We just need to work hard and play them out of the game.

| Ward did a great job with a London team that most people said would not win a game in SL, they hammered us twice. For a coach whose side got relegated his stock was still held in high regard. It seems that Westerman plays to a high standard no matter who the coach is, lets just hope that Ward cant get a tune out of Widdop, Miller and Austin.

| I think Ward is a very good coach, got London promoted and just lost out in SL on the last game of the season. He also did it with a very small budget. One other point, his league point tally in that relegated season is something that I wish we could achieve this season, but don't think we'll get close.

The only point tally that counts right now is, having more points than Cas.
If we'd started the season with something close to a competitive SL squad, maybe things would have been different.
However, with the squad that we had to start off, even King Midas himself would have struggled.
It matters not.
We just need to amass more points than Cas over the next few games and beating them at our place would be a good start,
mind you there could still be some twists and turns before the season is done.
Both clubs have a tricky set of remaining fixtures:
Cas have:
Trinity (a)
Saints (h)
Wire (a)
Hull FC (h)
Wigan (a)
Leeds (a)
We have
Cas (h)
Salford (a)
Saints (h)
Catalan (h)
Leigh (a)
KR (h)
The biggest positive is that we have 4 home games and Cas have only 2 but, it could go down to the last game of the season.

I was curious as to why Ugo wasn’t in the team vs Hull. Makes sense. Be interesting if Salabio or Franco get a gig but I think I’d stick with Lineham and Senior and I’d go with Eseh too.
The pack absolutely need to boss this game. Go big from the start maybe.
