| When you look at stats against Huddersfield we seem to have very impressive tackle stats but meterage and obviously tries much less so. When you look at our forward pivots hood proctor crowther they are defensive players who offer little in attack. So we are then left with our half backs to do all the creating , personally think we could do with Lino smith and Gaskell on park

agree! proctor has shown he's willing but all he does is basically tackle, doesn't offer much going forward at all, only gets back in the attacking line on the 4th tackle.
Was hoping we would have had a FB in this week, that would help us going forward

| Let’s be honest here we’ve been up against some of the better clubs ,had all sorts of disruptions to the rosta and yet to find that magic formula, but it’s early doors , the squad has had the upheaval of some of the bigger names players moving on and leaving big holes to fill . Half backs chopping and changing , full back crocked now Murphy, we never do things the easy way when there is an alternative hard way . Forwards have still to find their feet and obviously more fitness , but I saw enough against the Giants to give me hope going forwards . Another big game on Fri and I’m positive they’ll be up for it , and another step in the right direction .let’s be realistic and with injuries, players leaving and some big clubs up first it was always going to be a tough ask .

Not sure if I noticed these 2 incidents.
Jordan Crowther (Wakefield Trinity) - Grade B Dangerous Contact - £250 fine
The following player has received a caution:
Sam Eseh (Wakefield Trinity) - Dangerous Contact

Eseh I’m assuming was the belting tackle he did. Not sure how he could have pulled out as he was flying in fully committed. It wasn’t penalised in the game and you see a lot like that that don’t get penalised being marginally after ball release. Probably why was only a caution.
Not sure on the JC one tbh.

| Simple game.
Defend like last week and find some points.
If we cant put the ball through hands effectively, kicks to the side-lines or grubbers in goal give us some chance (hopefully).
The only worry is that Leeds hacw been playing better than us so far, mind you, everyone else has too.

| Quote ="Borderboy"Fascinated that Gaskell is thought too slow by some at stand off, but quick enough at centre.

Not saying Gaskell is the answer , but the logic is questionable.'"
Not really. Nobody’s saying he has to be a sprinter but we need a stand off who’s quick thinking and provides speedy distribution
And then perhaps can move a little faster than Gaskell in midfield.

And who would have bet on Leeds coming away with a win in that game , saints homecoming after being crowned world club champions, in fact who gave them a chance . Hate to say this but all i saw, was a Leeds team with speed in the backs halfs that could put players through a gap, and a team that new were to run .There Coach is getting things right and that was not there full team .Going but expected to be on way home before match finished I watch Wakefield ,if I wanted to watch Leeds I would buy a season ticket

Watched the game and Depending on which side of the Pennines you are from there were some match changing decisions made by both teams ,with more than a sprinkling from the ref . Looking for further improvements from us in our attack and hopefully we’ve got our defensive line sorted once again Game on if we go with the right frame of mind . Always look forwards to this one , good chance of leeds playing with 12 for at least part of the game as I see Bentley is back in as well as their prolific high tackling exponent Tetevano. Should be a cracker

Hope that's not literally there KK.....
We have enough players missing as it is!
Although it would be of benefit if either of dumb or dumber were sin-binned or even better sent off to give us a better chance!

| Just watched McGillivray's unpunished assault on Murphy and wondering if there is a referee who will give our players protection from such assaults or whether we will continue to be targeted by the thugs in the game.

McGillvary isn't a thug by a long way.
I haven't seen it back but I thought he went for the ball and grabbed Murphy at same time. It was hardly intentional to come down on his leg.

I saw it live and thought it wasn’t intentional but wasn’t legal and did cause the injury I suspect.
The penalty went Huddersfield’s way and it’s gone unpunished though. Whether it’s intentional shouldn’t matter.
I’m not sure whether you’d class it as a dangerous tackle applying pressure to joints.
That said I’m just going on what was posted above as I can’t be bothered watching trinity tv to check.
It won’t change anything but if it wasn’t a legal challenge it’s just a long line of decisions incorrect against us to add to the list.

| You could point out that the referee in the Saint’s game missed a blatant shoulder charge and awarded Leeds the penalty. I doubt you would consider Saints a club with limited appeal within the RL world but yet they suffered with an incorrect decision.
I don’t buy the we are persecuted in every game by referees, how many tries have we had disallowed in the last two games.

But "not a legal challenge" is a technical thing that deserves a penalty. Rather than an act of thuggery deserving a ban.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the challenge at all. Both players went up to contest the ball, there’s always going to be some contact between two players competing for the same ball but neither were at fault. Had it been McGilvery who landed awkwardly it wouldn’t have been Murphys fault just the same as Murphys injury isn’t McGilverys fault
