It is a near impossibility for us to compete on the player market front. Just look at Huddersfield for example, a club that was recently reported to have £ 20 million debt with most recent accounts showing in excess of £ 1 million trading loss for the year and yet they have just signed Bradford Academy player , Flanagan, paying an £ 85,000 transfer fee. Covid is not the reason clubs lost money, most clubs have lost money year on year for many seasons. As long as your Sugar Daddy is happy to cover the trading losses then plough on. Its the way of all pro clubs in most sports and the reality of it is that if one of us won £ 100 million on the lottery we would be happy to throw half a million / a million quid at Trinity a year to cover losses.

I sincerely hope Murphy stays, but lets get one thing clear, I would much rather see a good team effort than a star winger having to pull us out of the mire time after time. Wingers like Murphy and Johnstone are great to watch and have both (the former many times more) been matchwinners but we shouldn't have to rely on their efforts to constantly win games for us.
The Kershaws of this world will do that with the right centre service, and good team effort.
