i agree with this even with our full squad we are never going to compete against the bigger clubs and our hope for survival is beating the likes of leigh and hull kr everytime we play them .

Hull KR and Leigh are our competition.

We are in a mini survival league with them.

Target those games and assume anything else is a bonus.

Good teams who know they will win their target games can afford to rest players

Poor teams who don't know when their next win will come can't afford to rest players

This squad are not capable of picking games out and I doubt very much that Chester could coach the squad to actually win a game.

For me the clubs run wrong from the top down. It's obvious that the management recognised a problem with the coaching hence Last joining the ranks late on.
Do assistant coaches have any real immput or just assist in the decision s of the head coach.
I'm not sure if Chester does go or moved to director of Rugby that Last would fit the remit, he also seems a nice kind of bloke and if he is having an imput it's hardly noticeable.
If we survive this season major changesmust take place and maybe a new owner if one can be found could be an option.

New owner M C and Co have run the club on a shoe string wipe a two million det of, and are buying the ground, and have put plans into Council to in prove it ,so why new owners.The only thing they have done wrong is, take bad advice from the coach's on the players they wanted for there team over the last 3years

Just remember that if it wasn't for MC and (latterly) JM, we wouldn't have a club to support, so be very careful what you wish for !!

I don't have any financial expertise nor am I privy to the Financial situation at the club so apart from looking for an argument I'm not sure where your going with this, but unlike you I have no bitterness towards the club, and I'm quite happy to believe what Mr Carter says when he says that the club is solvent with day to day running costs, the title of the thread is should we pick our matches, well it's academic to me old boy as I'm a season ticket holder and not one what relies on handouts so should you really be making a comment at all on this thread, there's no need for a reply old boy.
