Excellent news, he has been Mr. consistency since his arrival and it's great he has committed himself to the club, and well done them for fighting off stiff competition! At times he has carried the rest of the pack, especially when Fifita was absent. I think our upturn in form was mainly down to attitude, especially from the forwards who actually showed up the last few games. We need them to be more consistent next year, get a good partner for Miller, and we have the backs to trouble any team, but if we rely too heavily on Kelepi & Dave they could easily burn out towards the back end of next year, especially when depending on what is going on re. corona, there could be a lot of games again in a short space of time.......

Not so bothered about the prop being all that big, I want one that’s mean with a great work ethic, basically another Batty would be fine. Dave and Green/Tangata give you the size.

The think with Battye is he tackles, he last for more than 20 mins a go and he can off load. I also suspect he’s not scared of a fight either.

To me Battye is a priority.

We could get by on that rather nicely if and it’s an if we get some luck on the injury front. In this respect Covid has helped us, Croft, Bailey, Aydin, Bowes, Walker are probably now 12 month ahead of where they would have been normally. All have shown they can cope, at least in the short term at SL level.

You can never be sure but we may well be in a good position.

I think its great tanginoa has signed def been our stand out player over last 18 months my only concern is that is he a bad luck charm as when he signed we were 3rd on the ladder and have fallen to pieces since or am i too superstitious??

I think we may need a couple of Props, one of our incumbents on that list is on his way out, I think some of the money may have gone to Tanginoa which I think is fully deserved as he is now our game breaker for me in the forwards.

Which one that then. The oracles on here had Tanginoa as a cert to Join Cas, TJ to Leeds and Fifita to Catalan. So that’s at least one proven to be bogus as usual.

No mate, not Green although not sure if he will be leaving as I know the club were offering him to clubs last month.

There is a player on that list that I would be amazed to see here next season from what I have been told but I wont go around telling the rumour, just saying that we are likely to be looking at a couple of props for next season IMO.

The money to keep Tanginoa and strengthen the halves yet cut the budget has to come from somewhere. Where so you reckon the biggest saving could be made?

No idea just like you. However MC has the knack of pleading poverty yet getting/keeping the players we want. Not lost many in the last few years.

What I’m saying is that I don’t think players will be leaving to balance the books. If Fifita for example is off it’s because he wants to and we don’t mind.
