We were definitely the first game for them, away at Trailfinders.
A tough one to forget and whilst not as bad a day as the dreaded "cardgate" game at Brentford a few years ago, it was a truly awful performance, especially from being 12 - 0 in front after 10 minutes.
Definitely one that you want to forget but, it's like hearing the first thing on the radio in the morning, you just cant get it out of your head.

Based on the loop fixtures and presuming it stays the same next year, we will have 2 away games vs toronto.

Though it has been confirmed no club will go to Canada twice.

We therefore may have 1 "away" game early in the season - on the road, Toronto have talked about Copenhagen/Dublin/ Other cities as possibilities, we may then get an away game in Toronto towards the end of the year,

We will have to see.

Maybe Dublin and Copenhagen then? Promising to be a great season of awY travel.

We also played opening games for HJ stadium and the old Sheffield stadium pre SL we do seem to get our fair share of these type of games. Think there may have been another one as well.

It was said a couple of weeks ago that no team would travel twice to Toronto.

So out of the 12 promoted side we got 4 when the average would be about 1. And they were all away from home. Would love a tenner at those odds!

I’m pretty sure that was Cas, I seem to remember it was snowing which made for a very poor attendance but may be wrong.

Weren't we meant to be the sacrificial lambs for the first league game in front of the Leeds new South stand as well? I enjoyed that one...

That's how I remember it too. Televised game Salford v Cas and not a great spectacle.

If it is first game up "away" at toronto in copenhagen or dublin would be good for a change of scenery but difficult to finance with magic catalans and our wembley trip this year!!!

Copenhagen is a cheap and regular flight.
I'd go watch that match.

I'd also say, having attended the Widnes game in the snow, it is cold but not drastically different to Wakefield in Feb.

I’ve got my fingers crossed that Toronto take our game on the road....To Dublin.

Wouldn't be bad Dublin, I've just read about the Netherlands offering them a couple of places at either the 11,000-capacity Sparta Stadion in Rotterdam or the NCRA Stadium in Amsterdam, which holds 6,000 fans.
I love Amsterdam and the girlfriend Dutch so it's a no brainier that one.
