Please Chris change the team around cos it's obvious to most people that it just isn't functioning properly.The massive massive injuries we've had knocked the stuffing out of us,(and are probably still a lot worse than we are getting to know),but we should be playing better now and whilst the defence has improved the attack is absolutely woeful.Broughy looks championship at best since his injury so should be dropped, allowing Miller and Hampshire to pair up at half back with Escare at FB.As for the pack-big Dave on from start and giving it his all for as long as he can (and has to be long minutes on 1 leg) or not included.When he comes on after 20 mins or whatever it's like we are waiting for the cavalry to come charging on to the pitch to rescue us so need to start with our best pack and get onto the front foot from the off IMO.Tangata looked eager but well off the pace Sunday so depends how he's trained.Tanginoa back to SR.Reece Lyne and BJB to be dropped.Thought Reece was one of our best players when all the injuries kicked in and he helped to keep us going,but for quite a while now he's been vv poor.(injury?)Sorry to say but Ben's pace has gone.Kershaw in.Ryan Atkins in if fit.Bill nowhere near his best yet but trying hard so keeps his place.
I think keeping the same team again will be a big mistake and make Chester a candidate for proving Einsteins definition of insanity!

I'm not sure he's had chance to show it. I don't think the pace or not of BJB is the cause of our problems, and I always think of the Rovers pitch as being a big one and against a defence that isn't the best (albeit they are a changed side since Tony Smith arrived). I'd have thought BJB was a definite.

Creativity begins in the middle. That's where it needs refreshing.

I think we all know Brough will play, performances suggest he shouldn’t but our coach appears to hope he will turn back the clock.

That's a blow, although he had a quiet game against Hull.
The team need to do this for Dave.

Of all of our players, Fifita is THE player that put his hand up to play when clearly not right.
Despite being crocked, he gave his all and the rest of the side from 1-17 now have to do the same.

As you say, there are no excuses. Nobody can wait for Fifita to come on and change the game.
The luck 17 have to go hard or go home.

This is THE biggest game of the season, bar none.

Funny thing is that against Hull I thought we were playing OK until the moment dave started to warm up, and ditto improved when he went off.

The problem is that Dave is such a talisman and strong character that when he comes on it all naturally revolves around him. Great when fit, not so great when injured.

We are a far better team when Dave is fit and playing well, but I can't help but think that at the moment we are much more likely to play as a team when he isn't on. Even if fit it would be beyond even Dave to turn this team around by himself, at least now they know it's down to them.

He was quiet by his standards but still managed as many tackle busts as anybody else on the pitch for both teams. In fact he is comfortably top of the chart for them in the entire league. He is also our top offloader by some distance. We need the others to step up to the plate but for us he is irreplacable and it is a huge blow.

Big dave when fit and on song is as good as any prop in the comp but it’s obvious his foot is hampering him .He’ll take no more part in this battle but can hold his head high for his effort and endeavour over the season.

Looks like Brough will be playing again. I really hope this time he actually does what he was signed to do but history suggests not.

KRs 19 - A very familiar name in there, that has gone very well this season at Dewsbury. They look about as strong as they can be.

That would be my selection too but just can't see DB being dropped.

That's an ok squad but, if you take Drinkwater and Maguire out of there, they look a fair distance behind us.
You have to be pleased for Trout, getting a gig at a SL club but, it's not like they've signed a world beater.
I'd have Crowther, Batchelor, Annakin etc in front of him all day long.

Garbutt and Masoe will take some handling but, IF we can get on top in the forwards, which we should be able to do and have a decent plan to close down Drinkwater and Maguire, hopefully we can secure the 2 points.

Not sure if you have seen anything of Trout recently Wren but he is a completely different type of player all together than the one that left us. A real handful in the wrestle, great offload and fend, was talking with Kyle and his brother the other day and he said he had put on just short of 4 stone since he left Wakefield, not sure how he will go in Super League but certainly stood out in the Championship.

My mistake. I had in mind the player that left us.

I'd take Garbutt, McGuire, Drinkwater and Hadley without a second thought.
