We'll unfortunately times have changed. I'm sure Leeds will be back and I don't doubt we won't be in this situation forever but if it was OK for you guys to do it to us..... Don't moan when it comes back.

Personally I'm not the type to start ridiculing fans. I've been watching Wakefield long enough to know it hurts when your team is down and no sign of an up, but I was clearly supporting Bradford today and I'm really glad they won.

I didn’t start this thread nor comment on it until my name or Leeds was brought up....just like many other threads. I’m sure it’ll descend into being my fault somehow though as usual, but others are guilty of starting things off.

I'd love you to join Bradford for a session in the championship but I know we need your club in SL, maybe if you'd had the barren years of success we have you might be more humble when you did win

As for Leeds fans being arrogant over success, yeah well that happens to any club who are successful over a long period of time. No clubs fans in SL would be any different if they had the same silverware success we had in the last 15 years or so. In fact as witnessed in recent seasons, the likes of Saints last year and Cas in 2017, their fans have gotten so cocky without even being able to back it up come crunch time to the point that some neutrals wanted Leeds to beat Cas in the 2017 GF. Let’s not pretend if Wakefield had Leeds’ recent trophy haul you’d be any different, you’re giving it enough just from being higher in the table let alone any silverware.

Don’t think Wakey fans are cocky at all, just because we are laughing at the Leeds position, we are just enjoying the moment, if we were winning trophy after trophy then yes, like your lot were cocky, hence the joy of seeing you fail and finding it amusing

Fans generally don’t every really see it in themselves, note Cas and Saints didn’t think they were being cocky the last 2 years yet plenty other fans thought they were.

Apparently Wakey were whipping boys that are too poor to be in SL, according to your forum a couple of years ago. %90 of posters didn’t argue against it. So you must allow our time in the sun. It just goes to show how good management and shrewd signings can transform a skint whipping boy outfit.

As for Wakefield I'm never even convinced we are clear of relegation until its mathematically impossible.

A couple of years ago it was questionable whether you were good enough to still be in SL, that’s not wishing “ill will” just an opinion. As for “whipping boys” I know which poster used that term and he was a troll who would use that term against a number of clubs and would try wind up and insult Leeds just as much as any. 90% of poster would ignore him, that why they wouldn’t be disagreeing with him.

Like I said, people don’t see it when it’s themselves doing it. Trying to make out that you ‘only do it because we got it from you’ just highlights that. Just trying to make excuses and trying to justify it so as not to appear cocky or that you aren’t just exactly the same as any other set of fans when their team is being successful.

Perhaps if your club hadn't been so arrogant over the years, snatched up other club's up and coming stars, twisted the RFL round your grubby little fingers, and lorded it over all other clubs as though no one else in Super League existed, we might be a little more sympathetic with your current plight. I recall in the Sixties or early Seventies That for some reason or other Leeds were precluded from the Yorkshire Cup, and lo and behold the following season Leeds played and won the YC final ON THEIR OWN GROUND, (against us unfortunately). That's why the rest of the Rugby League's fans hate your lot so much. We're all just waiting to see how they change the relegation rules should Leeds finish bottom.

Personally, I think you're wrong here.
Any team that wins anything does so - 99% of the time - on merit. I think your problem is that as supporters of a said winning team, you couldn't help youurselves giving it large to us at Wakey - and other fans.
You do reap what you sow, so you have to accept a bit of stick coming your way now.

If you turn up with the attitude and play like you did yesterday, that game - and subsequent ones are going to be difficult.

LOL. I think you misunderstand. We are not cocky. We are just happy to ridicule a team's fans that has perennially looked down on us, sometimes unfairly. You won't find many if any threads on here where we think we'll easily beat any team.
