I'm definitely ready for Thursday, I've been re-watching rival games all morning getting fired up for our Derby match. I'm never confident but can definitely see a win for us providing the Trinity we all know and love show up.

My ticket is on the mantelpiece, I've been practising chants all morning and my mum has my shirt and jacket washed and ready for me to show off at the game

Luke Gale is one of the biggest culprits so it was funny to see him get as good as he gives.

The most frustrating aspect about the Warrington game and the Wigan game before, is that we weren't so far away.
Getting pinged by the ref has been a constant all season and although Child is bloody awful for us, they cant all be wrong and we need to change something and tighten our discipline, which helps all other aspects of our game, as less defending will allow us to have that extra energy when it matters.
In both games, compared to our opponents, our kicking game has been miles behind.
Warrington in particular, didn't seem to put a bad kick in.
Even though Grix did exceptionally well, we were under pressure with every kick.
The same cannot be said for us.

I'm glad happened purely because of his celebration last year when he was walking like 10 men... nothing worse than being arrogant.

The cockiness usually comes with a good halfback.

I have absolutely no issue with a cocky half back - it's all part of asserting yourself as a little fella in the land of the giants; but you have to be delivering, or it just looks ridiculous - and Gale delivered - since his cheeky DG won them the match.

With regard to the head-rubbing and all that jazz - I don't like it either - it's gamesmanship to get a reaction - playing for a penalty; I didn't see the Delaney incident that way though - even Gale said afterwards that Delaney was taking the mick out of his hair transplant; so just a bit of harmless sledging?

Arguing with the ref however has become SOP now and it's no fun to watch - it needs sorting; as does the mysterious and rapidly recovered from injuries that players get at strategic times in the game; most often, after a break or before a GLDO.

I hope it isn't Kendal. His last two televised games have contained mass brawls.
I would actually prefer Child.

Martyn Sadler writing in the League Express a couple of weeks ago actually praised Carl Ablett for his skill at winning penalties. I noticed that Myler patted Roberts on the back of the head after he had been tackled in to touch just short causing another multi player scuffle. That wasn't in Mylers game at his previous clubs and there are a few other Rhino's players getting skilled at it too.

The players in general are constantly begging for penalties. It's the element of our game I really dislike and one that is really slowing the pace of our game down

As a kid and young adult we we're taught to respect the referees and that his decisions were always right

Kids are defo not taught to throw there hands in the air and flop about like a salmon and chase the ref round the pitch

It's embarrassing and I actually feel for the referees at times

Redcat, somebody posted stats under Child a few weeks ago, I thought it was 2 or 3 wins under him.

Ashley Klien was the man man in costing the tigers the game over here last weekend! shocking

at this stage STILL our only wins are against the teams coming 9-12. Which is good if we want to just make top 8(should be our first goal anyways) - but to me and our form we have shown and the results we are no where the top 6 in the competition.

these next 4 games will either prove that or not - we need to get a least 1 out of 4 but for that to happening we will need to see a dramatic turn around in attack mostly!

Not sure on overall James Child win percentage but I can tell you what the win is with him officiating our Cas games - 0%.

Wakefield have won 2 games against Cas with Child in the middle.

Thought overall James Child was very fair to us at Warrington, if anything he let us get away with a fair bit around the PTB...countless times I thought he could easily have penalised us but didn't...there was a couple of odd decisions but I thought we got the benefit quite a bit! Would have no problem if he was ref, one of the best around for me now...

Watching the Warrington game back how much did we miss Big Dave! I honestly believe he could have been the difference between winning and losing that match...he's a huge presence and a real talisman for us...definitely think we miss him more than any other player in the team...what he brings cannot be replaced!

What I'd like to see against Cas is two homegrown lads come in...Batchelor for Kirmond (who I'm presuming won't be fit) and Annakin for Pauli Pauli...a couple of local lads putting their bodies on the line in a derby is the kind of thing that gets others going and lays the platform for a big performance..

Nothing against Pauli either...he showed some good stuff against Warrington but just think he needs a bit more time to show his best...as the season goes on he could still be a great signing...he looked a lot better when he came out wide in the 2nd half...Chester said a bit back he wanted him to lose a bit of weight, get in better shape to play second row and that could be his role going forward...back row impact from the bench...maybe a few games at Dewsbury at a lesser intensity and a few more minutes may be really beneficial?

Big Dave to hopefully come back in and possibly Kyle Wood to share the hooking duties with Randell who I think would be much more effective spelled a bit...

We played better than I though at Warrington...on the whole...the little things we did wrong can be fixed up and I don't see any reason why we shouldn't have a real good chance of winning Thursday...looking forward to it!
