They can all go swivel for all I care, I'm only bothered about 1 team, and if we're not there then I don't care who is!!!'"
Which Cas love in is that, there are a few on here that have rightfully praised them for the season they have had, equally there has been quite a few Cas fans on our board posting complimentary things on our season, where's the problem.

Exactly! The current mood is much better than the nastiness that was about when both clubs were struggling.

| Cracking game that - and squeaky bums for Cas fans; they were miles off the form they've shown all season - and but for some missed kicks, they'd have been out of the running for a GF appearance. They are due credit for holding on after the Saints fightback and clawing out the win - Luke Gale is annoyingly good! I expect Saints have put a few teams on notice for next season too - Barba showed some touches of his genuine class, and they seem to on their way back to playing the entertaining, free-flowing rugby that Cunningham bashed out of them.
Excellent game for the neutral though - it's easier to enjoy those nailbiters when you don't have a dog in the fight; just hoping for a Hull win tonight, and the GF will be nicely poised.

| I really don't give a toss who win it if it wasn't us and this season is the first time did I actually feel that we could of done it had we got to the semi finals how ever I would like to see a new name than the same old winning it so if that means backing Cas then so be it, after all this season there's been no one that could match them

| Hopefully Hull will be Leeds so that we can have a new name on the trophy.
Watching Sky last night I was laughing at Eddie when after Saints had scored near the end he was banging on about - "never write off the Saints". He was loving it as it looked like Saints would win... and then up popped Cas.
I wonder if next year it will be "never write off Cas".

Thanks because I am, can't stand Cas never could - people on here have short memories.
Why people want Cas to beat Leeds if they get to the final is beyond me. No club has helped us more since we've been in SL than the Rhinos. Up until the arrival of Gill no team had stabbed us in the back more than Cas.
You want to indulge in a love in then fine, I don't and I won't.

| I've had a bit of a soft spot Hull for many years: even in their halcyon days when there was a lot of interchange of players between the two clubs. Players like Topliss, Skerratt, Kevin Harking went there and Pickerill, Terry Day, Luluai etc came here (Ok, they got the better deal).
I remember a mate and myself once entering a pub on the Hessle Road bedecked in Trinity colours only to find all others in the pub were wearing black and white. We made a quick turn around but were persuaded to go back in. We couldn't have been made more welcome and had a great time.
I sincerely hope they make it through to the final and see Cas off.

| For me it's about getting a new name on the Cup and breaking the stanglehold Leeds, wigan and Saints have had on it. Conversely one visit to the nutjob forum and the way they still speak about Trinity, makes you think twice about wanting Cas to win anything but you try to rise above it. Even though there's a few decent Cas supporters, I could never see a thread happening on their forum like this, if it was us that had made the Semi's that's for sure.

I sometimes have a quick look at the thread about us - and I've noted a change of tone; the usual suspects still spout the same old bilge - but there's significantly more magnanimity than in previous years. I guess for some, success brings a degree of grace.
Either way - I'd be happy to see Cas win on Saturday; they've been the best team in the league by a country mile, so if they can replicate that form, they'll win and deservedly so. Can't discount Leeds though - they know how to play these one off games.

Was hoping the same myself....can't bring myself to cheer for either, but on the season that they have had, Cas deserve it more.
