Well, I've watched that clip over about 15 times now and I can't see what I'm meant to be looking at! I thought we were hard done by with Jake Websters, but this one is beyond ridiculous. You have to appeal that, it's not even a penalty on the field never mind a ban.

I agree 100% Lynne should not have been banned for that but why bring Cas into the argument. There were far worse incidents from other teams last weekend.

It's as though they have to blame someone when an injury occurs. This is a full contact sport and injuries will happen. This decision is absolutely ridiculous and cannot be justified by the video evidence so what reason have they given.

Picking up on anything that looks like a crusher tackle or causes injury to the neck/spine area is the new fad.
It's taken over from the chicken wing tackle, team warning and attempting to play the ball with your foot.

But in this case where is the intent as there is no downward pressure on the neck and he is put to ground on his side so this must mean that reasonable doubt must apply

I mentioned Cas cos they happen to be the next opposition and the next game is always the best one to see the inconsistency.

I watched the game back on Trin TV both are absolutely nothing. How can Lynn get 2 games he's been clean for 150 matches. It's one of the softest bans I've ever seen. Won't say anything too out of order but rfl panal should be ashamed

I agree. But it is a tough job to win an appeal. If it was simple they'd have got it right first time.

Knew the appeal would fail, since Lyne doesn't have the surname O'Loughlin.

We don`t seem to come off favourably very often with disciplinary committee. A couple of years ago Ben Westwood got a warning about his tackling technique when nearly taking some players head off and Chris Annakin got 4 or 5 game ban for the same sort of penalty. Also last season Scott Moore got a 5 match ban even though no official saw the incident in which he got the ban.
