You have a go at Scott Anderson about his lack of games due to injury and you want us to sign Gaskell?

You say Ferguson is knackered but those other are just as injury prone as Ferguson is.

For me if we were getting the same Ferguson that was with us and then Hudds I'd be fairly happy. Saying that, although his games missed are overplayed by some (he missed 5 weeks last season and a similar amount the year before), so although he won't be expensive, he'd be a bit of a risky signing for a club like ours imo. I suppose it comes down to how bad his back has got and whether it will hold up at least as well as it did in the Championship.

Tbf Gaskill is far more injury prone, he plays less and less each year, just 12 games last season, similar to Clough at 13. Apart from that he's not as good as Miller anyway.

Remind me, please. Did Ferguson ask to leave in the first place or did Huddersfield poach him from us when we were forced to sell Murphy, Obst and others in that fire sale a few seasons ago?

Disagree. Could be a cost effective replacement for A.Tupou (if Tupou leaving and Ferguson is on his way to Trinity) and he is SL standard IMO.

Who is to say Kirmond and Annakin are going to fully recover and get back near to any of their best form? Batchelor/Crowther are also still young to play a full season....plus Molloy still seems to suffer plenty of injuries...then there is Ashurst who in 2015 got injured and didn't play many that season.

Ferguson is only 28 and has bags of SL experience...seeing lots of the ball for Scotland against Australia tonight as a willing runner, has some size and it's taking 3 of them to tackle him...good squad addition for Trinity and competition for the pack.

Belly is like a big spoilt teenager as opposed to his owner who though opinionated believe it or not does not spout the same crap. Basically it wouldn't matter whether the player had one leg so long as he's in another team he's better than ours - grass is always greener - whilst at the same time like all teenagers it's anything so long as it goes against the general consensus - got to admit he's good at it

If memory serves me correctly Ferguson said in an interview that he didn't want to leave and was sold by the administrator against his wishes.

Virtually the same thing happened with Murphy only Murphy refused to sign on at Huddersfield and stayed at Wakey until the end of that season. I think it was at that point that Ferguson had a "D'oh" moment when he realised that he could have kicked up a bigger stink about not wanting to leave.

Ferguson has been a bit more of an impact player for us recently. Doesn’t do long minutes. TBF he does make an impact but he’s only really lower SL quality.

Gaskell is quality – when fit. Trouble is he’s got a hamstring problem that has dogged him and they never really go. Clough is a great workhorse but he too has an injury doubt.

They took up a big slice of our budget and contributed naff all last season really. If you’re signing any of them a very thorough medical is required.
