I thought Matt Fuller was captain. But yes that year is the best I've had as a wakey fan. |

But the reason that season was so good is because we were trying to get in to Super League and achieved our aim.
It was a lot of years work to get to that year.
If we go down we won't just suddenly start beating everyone.

If we're going to go for realistic ambition, I would be happy for a Hull KR season, where the result is never foregone and you get a few big scalps on the way, even though there a few thumpings as well. Similar to the first couple of years of the Kear regime. |

Loved every second of it and I'm sure I could I'd hear Eddie's dentures grinding!
Best shot of the day was when Johnson went over on about the hour mark and there was a very fetching Halifax lass wearing white glasses, chanting 'Wakefield,Wakefield!'.
