| I realise I've now taken the Bradford game thread off subject but I have now looked at the stats and it shows a lot of effort.
For me, exactly the same team as played at Salford for the Bradford game. Just work on improving the small issues

| You make some good valid points Poptart, but there are still some aspects down the middle in defence that would still concern me, Scruton just sometimes gets flat footed too often and is brushed aside too easily for me. I know you can't tackle everything, and players will miss tackles, but I could understand it when a little elusive runner like say Burrow sidesteps a big bloke down the middle, but Scruton sometimes just gets his technique all wrong against guys of similar size, like in the Cas game against Millington was it? That was early on so can't be fatigue. Also, their first try was from inside their own half wasn't it? No disrespect, but I don't think I've ever seen Josh Griffin run that far! That was pretty flimsy defence, as were the efforts to stop his brother near the line. I just thought the first 20, 25 minutes they could have ripped into it a bit more, given they had been building up to that game for weeks, but you're right, overall they have improved, but silly errors and bad decision making are still evident at crucial times in games, and that's the bit that worries me, when the pressure is on I would be worried that some of them just aren't up to coming up with the goods when it matters most.
Looking at us as a team, we also just look a bit slow, all across the park, You look at Leigh and they just look quicker, but of course that's not the be all and end all, their strength is also their weakness which we've got to exploit. Bradford are obviously a capable side in their own right, but if we can't beat them at home, then I really don't think we deserve to stay up, think the whole club will be shot to pieces if we lose, we gotta beat them, it's imperative.....

Anthony Mullally
Jon Molloy

| I agree about the two Griffin tries. I don't understand how we can be so good yet make such a fundamental error.
That's why I'm not a coach.

| Not sure why everyone is dropping lyne and leaving Owen in their team for Bradford . A look at the stats shows lyne outperformed Owen in every single department against Salford.

| The Bulls will surprise the bookies on Saturday and show them that it isn't true that just because a team is in SL they will win. The Bulls will put out 16 SL players and 1 SofO player all fired up after a "Jimmy" team talk.
Can't wait. It will be a great spectacle and has kept the sport alive right into September in the middle 8s. The other leagues are still boring though!

It's probably due to home advantage we are favourites.

Disagree. For a champ team that looks pretty decent. Can remember Addy of all people giving us a bumming when they were last in SL.

I know that we lost to Leigh earlier in the season, albeit under Webster but, if we cant beat a Championship club at home then we aren't good enough for SL.
I'm with you, Wakefield to win by 10+
Come on Trin !

| I wouldn't be shocked if we got beat, but......
I see it in a very simplistic way, IMO Leigh are the best team in the Championship, we played them in the CC, we were at an all time low for me performance/confidence wise, we annihilated them for 50 minutes, and they pinched it later on. At that time I'd have rated Trinity 2/10, I see us now as a 6/10 team, it shouldn't be a problem beating the Championship teams, but this is Trinity.

To be fair we're effectively a Championship side playing in SL. If Trinity win on Saturday it won't be by a large margin. All the champ clubs will be smelling blood and be up for the game. Trinity need to match their enthusiasm and commitment.

I don't disagree too much with what you are saying but, I think that we are stronger and although Gaskill has been playing very well, we should have too much for them, especially at home.
Certainly to survive in SL, we have to win games against "lower" opposition and our second half performance against Salford, suggests that we should be more than capable of beating The Bulls

| We have a habit of starting slow and not being ruthless enough when on top. Get these things right and I see no reason why we shouldn't win on Saturday. I saw enough on Sunday to suggest we're not far off a complete performance and Brian Smith said it was the best we'd played under him, I wouldn't disagree with that. What I would like to see is a continuation of the way we played 2nd half on Sunday which imo was miles better than 2 months ago.

| Theboyem : So Bradford are excellent at full back, have better wingers, have two who we can only dream of, are miles better in the half backs, have a better pack, a stronger bench, have a good kicking game, are full of confidence, will have a large vocal following and you suggest there is nothing to worry about. Add to that Ferguson and Pitts will want to prove a point, Addy has tormented us in past, Ryan will of course have a great game. Their back line from 1 to 7 is very very good especially when compared to ours. The only good news I can see is that Walshaw is not playing, imagine the damage he would have done against our brave, intense, intelligent, non shall pass attitude, hard aggressive tackling, determined defenders who have doggedly only let 1000 points in this season. The words ` up, the , smell, and, wake, coffee ` spring to mind.

I presume you realise i was extracting the urine don't you? You know like you do in every post you put on here? Nobody believes you actually think the stuff you stick on here is true you know! And if you do seek medical help quickly before it's too late.
Anyway i think we'll win but it will be close. Bradford are decent but not great and i think we'll get over the top of them in the end.
Unless we pick Annakin that is then we'll probably get 50 put on us......

Wow, are you like Bradford's PR guy in disguise?! They have lost 4 games out of 23, as far as I know only them and Leigh are full-time, not sure if London still are? They are a capable team no doubt about it, but I suppose the proof of the pudding and all that.....

Problem is though, we have put in a few similar performances to Sunday, Catalans away, which was quite a while ago now, think we went 16 down in that one, came back into the game, gets to the last 10, 15 minutes with a genuine chance of winning and bad decision making, wrong options cost us. McShane put in one of his ineffective kicks, they score from it and go onto win, Moore did the same on Sunday, bit of dejavu! I think under BS we obviously have improved, generally as a team we are more solid in defence, more resolute etc......but, we are still averaging around 32,34 points against us, which is obviously better than 42 under JW, but in order to actually win games on a regular basis, that has to come down to between 20 and 24. You are only gonna win now and again conceding that many, only one win against Super League opposition since February mainly because of points against us.
