Best atmosphere in the North stand all season I left the match feeling more optimistic than I have done in recent weeks. Then the negativity on here.

I take my hat off to Mr Carter but fear the real irreversible damage had being done to the club by the previous regime and 3000-4000 walked away for the last time many who had seen it all too often and enough was enough

It does seem the club is going down without a fight, no marketing at all.
There are very cheap ways of marketing but we seem to do none, bar promoting on social media.

I'm not a big fan of cheap tickets, but after some of the performances and results we may need to do
something like that to coax some of the stayaways back?

MC is an accountant and in my experience accountants don't like spending any money speculatively. He is going to have to change this stance to some degree or the club will dwindle away pretty soon.

I agree at some point you have to speculate to accumulative, wouldn't take long to get the feel good factor back to BV

Very frustrating at the minute. I'm still of the belief that when we get our first 17 on the pitch we will cause some damage, that Webster is a good coach and that MC is doing the very best he can. The new ground stuff is all in the open. Short termish pain for long term gain. We will be competitive in a few weeks time but how many supporters will still be around by then?

The balance isn't right. Glover and co knew how to sell optimism. The fact that the foundations were unsteady didn't matter to those coming through the door. We won't build unless we get people back on the terraces. The approach of "real fans stick with us" just gets the backs up of everyone else (you only have to look at the Shankly quote on MC's Twitter feed to get the underlying current). It used to be We Are Together.

As someone has said, it wouldn't take much to get the crowds back. The will is there. But you've got to encourage the occasional fan and try and turn them into diehards. A "diehards only" approach will sink us.

Dunno about that, but there will be a lot of Leigh fans because we are on an 'upward spiral' which you guys also experienced a few years ago. Sorry if I appeared to be *itchy, not my intention Khlav.

Wish our cup tie was at Leigh. Think the away following get behind the team more especially when they're condensed into the modern grounds away area. Might not be a bad thing altogether if we don't get the extra home games in the middle 8 comp either?

I thought the atmosphere in the North Stand was good last night really got behind the lads. Keep that North Stand atmosphere for the cup game and the middle 8s and it will lift the lads. Agree away games are usually an altogether atmosphere but the north stand has that feeling last night.

Interesting that you point out the atmosphere generated on Thursday , on the telly it just didn't come over at all , no singing,no cheering when either team scored , only conclusion I could make is SKY messed up the positioning of the microphones

The Microphones are near the away fans.

I wouldn't expect many on the day turn ups. The club only have themselves to blame for the pathetic attendance. Let's hope the not for turning Mr C will have a change of thinking. What I don't understand is why you would go to the trouble to save the club only to sec it sink

Microphones are above the western terrace where away fans stand. Atmosphere was good in the North Stand
