| I wouldn't over analyse today, I'm as disappointed as any Wakefield fan but the key for me is in how we prepare for next season. Recruitment looks to be going well and I'm sure Webbo will have them upto speed for the start of 2015 season.
Overall, we did what we needed to and stayed up after a terrible start, now lets build on it

| The way the team performed today made me wonder whether Agar had been invited back for a farewell go at coaching!
Whilst we made some howlers that led to tries, equally concerning was the lack of doing the fundamental basics of the game right. Zero aggression and very few seemingly willing to take the ball into contact. No pace in anything we did and some poor handling skills.
Fortunately, Webster has a full pre season to sort it all out and some good players coming in

| Have seen quite a few l pictures lately on twitter with Sammut holding a baby. Has he become a dad recently. If so when we became safe in the league was he told dont play and spend some bonding time to keep him healthy for preseason plus he gets to spend some time with the newborn which is Very important. Just guessing as not aware of any facts.

| Embarrassing effort. The players looked like they were already on holiday , it was a relief when it was finished. Thankfully Hull KR also put the cue in the rack after an hour otherwise it would have got really nasty. Finishing the season as we have won't help the season ticket sales.

| Did anybody else see the guy who threw his season ticket onto the pitch infront of the east stand,
Made me laugh as it wasnt much of a protest seen as it was the last game of the season

| Did HKR put the cue on the rack, or did Trinity just stop gifting them points.

Why would I think that the points' scored against us had anything to do with Wildie his defence was no different to the rest today it offered nothing as did the rest of his play, whereby as you say Sammut could not have done any worse than he did.

| Craig Hall did exactly the same to us last year in the halves.
A player with a decent passing and kicking game, who always looks to be on the end of a midfield half chance if the pass can be made.
Going off what Eden can do from fullback, would stick Sammut there next season.

Thank god I changed my mind and didn't take time off work today, travel 40 miles up the M1 and pay to see that garbage! I feel really sorry for those paying fans to see that unprofessional, error strewn and de-motivated display.
The players ought to remember that its those paying fans who give income to pay their wages and it was also important to finish on a high for the last game of the season to give some optimism for the next with some new signings coming. Instead they go off at half time to boos and being mocked by the Radio Yorkshire Commentary team who described a breeze block in the commentary box as more interesting than the display being offered by Trinity.
5 mins into second half 0:34 with kick to come!'" Well said. Unfortunately I did drive from Scarborough to Wakefield to view this embarrassing dross then home to Beverley. I was trying to make my mind up as to whether or not the fact that I can only get to 2/3 of matches could justify a season ticket to support the club, so thanks for making my mind up for me guys. If you can't be bothered to try in the last game then nor can I. I would like to suggest that the club gives a 50% refund of today's ticket price for those who attended off their season ticket for next season as an apology for the disgrace that was brought to our club today.

| Todays performance was shocking BUT the team on the pitch bears no resemblance to next years proposed team so I see no sense in spitting the dummy out and not buying a ticket just for that non effort today.
I've bought mine based on some of the outstanding performances earlier in the reign of JW (and TS) and I think that's the way to look at it.

| WTW simply cannot afford to keep putting in performances like that.... They continually ask for support and patience from the fans however when the players put up displays like that then fans are going to stay away, season ticket sales will fall, ticket sales in general will fall and revenue will fall. If Wakefield can put together a decent side that gives 100% then crowds will follow, but the players have to show the fans something more than they did today. I was at Hull KR away, and said then it couldn't get much worse, thought today the lads might have gone out there with a point to prove... how wrong was I!
On a side note I'm hoping JW gives Jowitt Walshaw and Annakin a good run in the team next year... its about time we started bringing our academy lads through! Was disappointed the first two did not feature today.

| It was bad today but nothing hinged on it.
Webster took the decision to send players for operations so they could be fit for the start of next year when the real business starts.
He played a couple of players today who won't be with us next year, so people could make their own minds up whether they should have been retained or not.
Wildie did nothing wrong.
Sykes had an off day, he probably would have been offered a 1 year deal at Wakey but at his age is probably looking for a bit more security.
So for me a bad day at the office, the worst under Webster but what's done is done.

I hope Annakin is kept here rather than loaned to Featherstone. He was one the few who looked genuinely up for it and tackled with a aggression. He is ready for SL

| If you think the purchase of a season ticket should be based on one performance why not Salford at home. What did today's result have to do with buying a season ticket are some of you so fickle.

How about ....
Pride in the colours?
Pride in themselves?
Finishing tenth instead of one place above relegation?
Making yet another distinctly mediocre team look good?
Doing it for the fans?
Finishing the season on a high?
Encouraging more support?
I'm not buying a season ticket for several reasons. Today's performance isn't actually one of them but the total lack of consistency from one game to the next and, indeed, from one minute to the next throughout the season has definitely influenced my decision. I'll still attend games - I may even end up giving the club more money than I would if I'd bought the ST but I'm not going to "invest" my hard earned dosh again if the "product" is sub standard. Just the same as I and many others didn't wait to clap the team on their lap of "honour". What message does it give?
