| Was going to mention Paul Taylor, through no fault of his own was probably the most unlucky ineffective player.
Played well at Oldham though.
As for Klien, the only game I can remember him having a good one in was against Widnes at home.

| Quote ="Theboyem"7 GLEN TOMLINSON - A Batley legend he proved at Bradford that he wasn't really a superleague standard halfback, something he confirmed in a year long 5-game spell at Hull in 1998. So on our admission to superleague we signed him where he regularly hammered the point home.

Got to disagree re Tomlinson. If you ever get chance to watch the season review of that 1st year in Super League you'll see him responsible for a hell of a lot of good plays and scores in what was a reasonably good debut season back in the top flight.

Cant see anything professional hard working or honest in Jarrod Hickey signing a contract in oz and coming over in a state akin to Bernard Manning - total disgrace to the vast majority of hard working honest professional rugby league players.

| I like this post. Maybe it will help me to purge my frustration, ease my soul and become less negative. Let's see. Les Tonks. Graeme Brown. The entire team of about 1999/ 2000 that got Andy Kelly sacked. The NZ players that blighted the 1987 season. The boards of nearly every era I have supported. In fact. lets face it, it has been the idiots in charge more than the players, who have been our most ineffective players. When Wally Lewis signed I have never seen 12 other players look so inept. But Toppo did quite a good job of that at times too. I will leave the current squad out as it has been said.

| Looking at the modern era and just viewing his appearance, I have never been as gob smacked as seeing Jarrod Hickey and the way he turfed up at Belle Vue like a boozer off the street on a kebab diet. Astonishing and he must take the prize, all matters considered, The Golden Turd!

We have been, as a former top notch club with aspiration, the last repository of many a free loader. Honestly..Come on, you must know how many a player has taken Trinity for a ride over the years? If you don't ..well good luck in life.

as a kid I used to make fun (in my head) of Les Tonks and John Archer... but my views were not captured in perpetuity on a web site database...
Dont agree about Graeme Brown who I thought was a good young prospect... I remember him being in the three quaters when Andy Fletcher first arrived on the scene and we went to Oldham with a threequaterline of Mark Endersby (1icon_cool.gif Graeme Brown (19) Keith Banks (21) and Andy Fletcher (1icon_cool.gif and I think we won the game...
ps Keith Banks wasa huge talent in the making... destroyed by an early injury.

John Archer. I'd forgot about him. Generally a v poor winger who did score a crucial try at Belle Vue in some important game (semi final?) v St Helens. Famous typo error in Wakey Express reported that he had spent one close season as an Oil Rig.
Add Graham and Martin Law to the list too.

| I think Old Blighty has got hold of the wrong end of the stick. When a person goes out on that field he should be proud to wear that shirt . He should make an effort to play the game at a level that is acceptable and he should strive to improve all the
time. Not as in some cases just go through the motions and sit back on their contract. If they do not , then they themselves have earned a place on this list.

| Paul Sampson for me - but that was not his fault.
He had pace to burn and we never used it except for once in a pre-season friendly at Bradford.
So actually perhaps I should re-assess and name whoever the kickers were in that season.

I only remember him for selling raffle tickets. Watched quite a few games that season from one of the private boxes and Dallas was on raffle duty for pretty much every one of them. Great bloke, poor rugby player.

| Good to see Wells has continued his complete ineffectiveness in his role with Sky sports spouting out pointless facts with the grand master of taking money for old rope Phil Clarke.
Jon Wells has proven to be nothing if not consistent.
