| Mcshane was outstanding. He's a better hooker than aiton, much crisper distribution and to say the Leeds fans said his defense is weak he tackled like a Trojan today

| Agreed surprisingly I thought our defence was solid today, yes they scored 3 trys in the first half but look how many consecutive sets they had when we were on our line.

| Defense looks like it's been worked on in the off season but let's be honest it needed it! To a man they all tackled their hearts out and defended the line manfully. Mathews stop one on one on a rampaging hock was a corker and somewhat unexpected!

| Quote ="The Dreadnought"The 6-1 first half penalty count was what allowed your forwards to get on top, just like all teams when defending you get tired. Hock was good but what do you expect when your running at centres all game? Collis was fine just put his head on the wrong side but carried on. Hows Chase and Sau?
We had 3 just come off the plane a week ago and also havent really had a proper pre-season with departures and new comings.'"
Hows Sau? Hes probably about 15kgs overweight. What a pudding!

| Thought you played very well & agree Sau not quick enough & Agar spotted that well.
You are much better than Bradfut and will be OK but the February 4 pointer is vital. Good luck.

| Quote ="Sesquipedalian"What a load of rubbish!
Second half
Ali Lauitiiti ran riot and totally eclipsed any performance by any one of your forwards.
Taulima Tautai was causing havoc in your defensive line and regularly took three or four defenders on and still offloaded the ball.
Scott Anderson and Matt Ryan have both been in the country for less than a week and still matched anything Pulutua, Morley, Hock or Hanson etc did
Kirmond also had a good game
The best hooker on the field was McShane by a country mile.'"
Lauititi targeted Jason Walton who was abit suspect in his defensive game, you had 4 debutants we had 13 let's see how were both doing 6 weeks down the line when your lot start to fade and pick up injuries,
You keep saying how you SHOULD have won and how IF you did this and that this would of happened, well guess what for all the poor show in the second half of the match by us we still won the game, that's the most important thing, you could play 27 brilliant games where you should have won and don't and be relegated.

It was 3 tries each and our hastily assembled squad which probably cost half what yours did were the better team for large parts of the game.
Stop embarrassing yourself!

This was you yesterday:
[i"And as for our team gelling, we had a 3 month training camp in South Africa where the players were with each other every day.
plus it's not as if every player in our squad have never played together before? Smith, Gleeson, Hock, Hansen,
Have all played together, Puletua and Meli have played together for years, Morley and Chase have played together for England as has Hock, I've seen the team play, al be it in terrible conditions we went good, no one looked out of place and some great plays from smith and Chase."[/i
And this was you on arguably the best player today:
[i"Godinet hasn't even played a single game for you guys, he's only had 4 training sessions, if you think your going to see miricles from him your going to be let down."[/i
Your pack looked old and battered in the second half. Out of the two teams, I reckon Wakey will feel the best. Three of our key players, including our stand out player, only got off a plane this week.

Let's just see what happens tomorrow? But then again if we do beat you it will be because Sammut wasn't playing right?
'"
Salford have a great 17 not quality of the 17 in depth.
Lets take it into account that all your 'debutants' had a 3 month spell in South Africa in pre-season, a lot of them played together as you have stated.
If Lee Smith was still here or Syksey kicked them conversions you would have drew.
You have spent the cap and we are most likely no where near with 3 players coming off the plane a week ago and having 4 maybe 5 sessions together.
Oh and BTW Godinet did do miracles this game that intercept and the ball to Ryan which resulted in two trys would of got us level we if converted..
You make yourself look a fool.

You very nearly came unstuck with your pre-match predictions about this match but thankfully we held on for the win. You should learn the lesson from this because we are going to get turned over by a few clubs during the course of the season and the fans of those clubs are going to slate you when it happens if you carry on like this.

Well done, you have proved yourself to be a hypocrite, have no RL knowledge, be factually incorrect and have zero class all in the space of a couple of posts. Takes some doing that, again well done.

I've actually turned pink reading these posts.
Apologies to all decent Wakey fans I thought your lads were quality second half.

| I'm a Salford fan and personally thought mcshane played everyone off the park today he killed us at the play the ball with some top scoots but your players need the credit for getting the quick play the balls in, personally thought Salford had the better first half and wakey had the better second half, liked the look of that godinet guy too if like some of our fans are saying he won't be good yet cause he's had 4 sessions god help opposition teams when he settles in, don't think our pack smashed your pack either, just some big tackles going in from both sides, I don't think wakey have got anything to worry about and personally think you will make the top 8, I reckon you will sign A couple more players too and when you have sammut playing he can only improve you more, thought we were lucky to win the game after your performance in the second half and genuinely thought you would win in the end, salford looked to have no idea in the second half but tommy lee at stand off didn't help anyway rather than me going on I'd like to wish you all the best for the season as I have a soft spot for wakey
See you at your place

| Greetings from Down Under. Sounds like I missed a cracking opener to the season and a narrow defeat.
I see Child has been quoted, did he put in a good and fair performance?
Also, if Ali is claiming he put the ball down, did it look that way on the terrace?
I had a feeling we might be able to turn over Salford (not just saying that now after the result) as I know we can surprise a few when we are written off.
I'm looking forward to seeing the highlights to this match.

He did try to get hands to it but he couldn't so he booted it dead, split second decision fom him with Salford players thundering up behind him.
He did the right thing at the right time.

But plus points in the game our forwards smashed yours into oblivion in the first and even at stages in the second half, Hock especially showed his power, does anyone know how Collis is by the way?
What undid us was having 4 forwards on the bench instead of a replacement halfback, we totally lost it when Chase went off as tommy Lee is no stand off. Well I'm sure mr Noble will learn from his mistakes.
Good luck for the rest of the season.'"
Just a question.
Which of the two coaches do you think will be happiest.
Noble, with his squad of "superstars" who just scraped 2 points against one of the relegation favourites.
Or, Agar, with a team put together at the last minute, on a shoestring budget, that kicked your s all over the park.
The only reason your forwards looked dominant in the first 40, was the one sided penalty count (plus some poor kicking on our part)
For the amount of Koucash that you have parted with, this should have been no contest.
Enjoy your season, if you can.
It was a decent game though for all your new fans
