| Looking objectively, have the Bulls gone into administration? Or was the main asset of one company transferred to the Bulls and the old company gone bust?
I don't see it as a club going bust but a legal mechanism to resolve an ownership dispute that the RFL was trying to resolve. Different to going bust and fishing for a buyer.
I don't see the conspiracy, as galling as it is.
What I don't know is how it differs from our situation.

Going by that quote then yes they did. And conveniently just as they had a winding up petition issued by HMRC.

| Quote ="wrencat1873"The problem with walking away is that, it will only damage Wakefield Trinity.
If you feel so strongly, then don't go to Bradford or abstain from RFL events, like internationals of magic weekend.
Avoiding Iconic Odsal seems to be a more tempered response.
The penalty (or lack of it) will give a strong indication of the RFL's comment about "no safe teams" from relegation.
Many of the more cynical ones amongst us, believe that London, Catalan, Bradford and Salford would not be "allowed" to be relegated from SL and certainly, a lack of a points deduction here, would back up these thoughts.'"
I already avoid those events due to previous issues with the RFL's governence, failure to operate a fair and even set of rules on this one will be me done and i'm afraid if that impacts on Wakey then so be it. They will be taking part in a game i wouldn't want to be a part of anymore. And anyway they showed their hand by jumping into bed with the RFL over the restructuring which still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. But this Bradford issue is the ultimate test of what values the game has.

If i have understood correctly. OK Bulls are in administration with a winding up petition/order from HMRC. Whilst in admin the ownership has been bought/transfered to the new company, OK Bulls will be liquidated.
I'm not si fussed about the points deduction, more the varying scenarios given to Trinity and Bradford should admin be involved.

| The RFL in trying to assist the Bulls in the first administration by owning Odsal are now involved in a conflict of interest. Do they still own the stadium?
Bradford are no different to any other club and will be deducted 4 points if they repay the creditors a large % or 6 if they don't. They can dress it up however they like but administration is administration and it's probably likely to occur again quite quickly as they're reluctant to reduce their wage bill.
It would be a farce to clubs who took early action in addressing financial problems or who have reluctantly fielded weaker sides to stay financially stable only for one who have knowingly overspent and taken no action to go unpunished

| Interesting that apparently the following was earlier posted on the Bulls website but has since been removed and replaced with a 'we will work with the RFL' statement.
[i31st January 2014 BRADFORD BULLS officials have this afternoon announced that the club will not suffer a points deduction, as a result of its former operating company entering administration. OK Bulls Ltd was placed into administration this morning but the club has since been purchased by Bradford Bulls 2014 Ltd. And, on behalf of the new board of directors, chairman Mark Moore has confirmed that the Bulls are to remain a First Utility Super League side and will start the new season on zero points. [/i

Not that it makes any difference but about 40 years ago and i've finally had enough of all the years of corruption. If anything it is getting worse rather than better. If you like continuing to pay money to watch a corrupt sport then good for you, I doff my cap to you. I'll be spending my hard earned elsewhere.

| The appearance then rapid disappearance of the statement on the Bulls website would suggest that they've already been assured there won't be a points deduction, and that any delay in announcing that outcome is so the RFL can create the impression of 'considering' the request.
I'm not inclined to hysterical responses, but if this is cooked in such a way as to protect the Bulls from losing points, my patience with this sport will be sorely tested.

| After being the operative word. This is a convenient pre-pack agreement to by-pass the rule effecting the then owners who had entered administration.
If the change over had happened before the administration that would have been one thing but this has blatantly happened afterwards.
The petition from hmrc is over two weeks old.
This is a clear example of the Bulls landlord helping them break their own rules.
If I were the hmrc I would be jumping up and down all over red hall.
As for the SL chairmen I wonder what they will make of this latest fudge from the RFL.

| But is it a RFL-backed way of forcing the transfer because OK was not abiding by agreed terms? I just wonder whether it was a tactical move to effect a transfer at loggerheads rather than actually running into admin.
Part of me feels aggrieved but part of me thinks it might be a legal way of achieving something that otherwise couldn't be done. Was it just a way of getting rid of OK?
I think its different to our admin. What I don't know is how different it is to our situation in November, which is perhaps the real question.

| Please correct me if I'm wrong but did the Crusaders go into administration in the pre-season period before we did? They were deducted 4 points for that coming season.
I'm trying to compare and contrast. Are there any factors different this time?
All articles I've read so far today on the Bulls say they went into administration THEN the takeover happened.

From what I have seen & read in last month re farce that is new structure, Sky deal & this with Bradford Bulls the game has no values.

| If the bulls are able to come out the other side with their squad in tact and no demotion or 6 point penalty the current RFL board have no credibility. I won't stop supporting Wakey but this whole situation stinks and can't see us being allowed to do the same

But the RFL approved ok to own the bulls, why should they now see fit to meddle once again?
They WERE the owners at the time of administration that should be a four or six point deduction for the bulls no matter who took over or when.

| I don't care how it has been done, they have gone into admin and clear precedents have been set for clubs doing that. Bradford should not be immune because of some perception they are iconic, which let's be honest hasn't been the case since they stopped winning stuff!
