Alternatively, HKR could show an interest in Washy and then we would release him a year early with no fee involved as is the norm these days, especially with players past the early 20's range.

I don't think Washy moved away from Hull, so maybe he wants to get back to that neck of the woods?
On this season's form, I don't think it would be a disaster; he defends well, but has offered very little in attack. Stick Mr T at loose and see what he can do with that massive fend and off-load?
