Virtually impossible I would've thought, unless someone can come up with a £3-4 million to pay off Jack Fulton and Tricky Dicky; it's a real quandary, given that admin is also not an option - the stadium would be sold to pay off the debts.

It's somewhat perverse that what should be the clubs biggest assets - the stadium and the benefactor - are actually proving to be millstones round the clubs neck.

I hope it gets resolved.

This year, we started really well and were on the wrong end of a couple of really tight games.

After the 52-0 at Hull, and very little to show for the ecellent effort against the top teams at the start, it's only understandable for the guys to have had the wind kicked out of them.

Wakefield game - you guys were excellent in the first half. Although whenever we had the ball, it seemed one guy took a big knock every set, which meant we finished the game with 2 subs. As well as Darryl Clark being ill - he threw up on the 20 after you scored your second try. BUT adam milner wasn't even n the squad!!!!

Things have seemed to go against Ian since he took over, and bad performances have (ONLY) sometimes come off the back of bad luck.

That being said, progress isn't being made, and I think everyone is in agreement that the squad is underperforming - except Vasty who firmly believes we have the worst squad in the league. In which case I fully expect him to be completely against his sacking? ...Each to their own I guess.

I said the table doesn't lie, you are currently the worst squad in SL. As I have no crystal ball unlike you I can't say if it will stay that way. What I do know is RL is played on grass not paper and RL history is full of crap teams who were legends on paper.

It's an odd one - the popular view seems to be that JK will be their next head coach but quite honestly, I can't see why he would want to sup from that particular poisoned chalice right now; last I heard, he was enjoying coaching a part time team and polishing up his golf game.

Without some major changes at Cas, I can't see many established coaches being keen to tarnish their reputation by joining what looks like a sinking ship.

I hope you're not crying too much about our former coach and the job he did whilst there.

Can't help but feel a bit sorry for the guy; he's had a dreadful year on a personal level and entirely understandably, can't have has his mind fully focussed on the job. On top of that, he's operating with massive limitations and an already disgruntled fan base.

All that said - results don't lie and they're simply not good enough.

I think he's suffered terribly from having a massive chunk of his playing budget taken by Rangi Chase. A player that can do more harm than good, and being on such a large wage means that it limits the quality of the rest of the squad.

Hardly, as Mellars isn't on anything like what Chase is, nor is he a disruptive influence on the side both on and off the field. Mellars isn't as capable as Chase when he's got his head on, nor has he ever been suspended by his club or spent large amounts of time suspended. What an odd comparison you make.
